  1. I've got an emanage blue, and 640cc RC racing injectors, i'm thinking about running two sets of injectors though cos i want to get a T88 on there when its done (Just saving the money lol) I don't think the 640cc's could supply enough for the T88
  2. it's defo not lambda, i think it is a EGT probe as you say, has anyone else come across this sensor and found a supplier of the plate for fitting it, i dont really want to have have another custom plate made lol but if that what it takes!
  3. ........infact if you look at the photo you can see what i mean
  4. Possibly, I only did it quickly as I had to do something else more urgently, but the other set of holes looked almost straight so they might be for show, from memory is didn't look like there was a lip for the bolt to catch on, if u know what i mean
  5. Hi all, I'm in the middle of a T70 turbo conversion on my supra, I have a problem in that I can't find the correct size V-Band clamp for joining the turbo to the down pipe, the pipe seems to be about 3.5Inch but I can't find one in that size and 3Inch is defo too small, any one know where I can get one? Also there is what looks like a temperature prope that went into the origonal twin turbo manifold, do I need this on the single turbo setup, I only ask because it is an odd shape and i would have to get a coustom plate welded to the exhaust down pipe to put it in. Last question, I think my ECU is going to be a bit upset about me removing half its solenoid valves and sensors that are involved in the twin turbo setup, can I just trick the ECU into thinking there still there by putting resistors in there place? Sorry for all the questions guys Cheers
  6. Hmm that is odd then, i'll have to have another go, thanks for the quick reply Alex
  7. Hi all, I bought some wheels for drag racing my MKIV UK Supra, they are: PCD 5x114.3 17" +38 offset I offered them up to the car and they didn't seem to fit at all! Is there a different fittment on UK supras? The spacing on the studs was quite a bit further apart on my supra than the wheels, im confused, am i being stupid or something?? Any help apreciated, cheers guys
  8. again I've had my shocks done too, only with standards though which I woulnd recoment due to the fact that they cost aroung £260 each! (as far as I remember that is) I will find the recept and post what I payed
  9. Hadmine done late last year, mine was really bad, they had to replace the bearing hub too! now my other side needs doing as well! I'll dig out the recept from toyoda tech, I think it was aroung the £300 mark
  10. Yeah, if there is nothing visible then it must be something like that, I take it the noise isn't rotational at all then?
  11. Hi lambertpig, year i'm getting rid of the HKS too, infact most of my HKS stuff, as far as i'm concerned there going down hill, the induction kits suck in more c@*p than air, the FCD messes up the whole fuel map of the car, the chrom plated plastic fins in the end of my HKS SSQV is flaking off and the body is starting to tarnish, and I've heard bad things about the spark plugs too! As for charge temp, I can't give you an accurate reading as the weather is too variable to alow a fair comparrison with the OEM IC however I'm getting two bosch charge temp sensors and putting one before and one after the FMIC, I'll post the results of typical charge temp reduction. As for lag I honestly didn't notice any difference, that doesn't mean there isn't any but I havn'e noticed any detremental effects at all!
  12. Does the car still sit square, completly different car I know but my old mrk 2 astra snapped a section of the spring off?? did you look at the top and bottom of the spring (this may well not happen on a car like this, it's just a thought really) or rear wishbone bushes? Mine went last year?
  13. Yeah that's right, but cooling isn't usually too much of an issue at standstill anyway, it rarly gets hot enough in the country! In some ways i think something that shows you a fault with something, like putting on a front mount and finding your rad isn't working great is all part of the process anyway, all you can ever do is improve on your weekest link, and my charge temp used to be one of them, not anymore!
  14. That's a good point Alex, however most of us with supra's have basicly old cars with tired SMIC's, so if your going to spend the money on a new one from toyota, it will probably cost more than this front mount. I would be interested in seeing how an aftermarket SMIC would compare. Purly because of the surface area though surly a front mount has to be the best option?
  15. Hi guys, Well, I'm not sure if it's my first post or not really, I think i'm getting confured with the yahoo group, I think quite a few people use both. I can confirm that the first run (First graph) was with the standard UK IC, I was really supprised how much difference it made, it's a huge cooler, but it looks like the flow through it is really good too the radiator which is pretty essential, my temp gauge reads the same as it did before so I'm raelly happy about that! I have a T70 turbo to go on soon so expect to see more dyno results shortly! I would deffinatly change to a front mount, it seems far more efficent, and this particular one from paul (Miami GT) seems really well made and far cheaper than anything else I could find and i'm 100% happy with it. Good point Terry, i'll introduce myself now!
  16. Hi all, I replaced my stock IC asit was getting pretty tired and got the new 2 row Front mount from Miami GT (thanks Paul!), I wanted to know what, if any difference it made to my power, so I had the car on the dyno just before xmas then fitted it this weekend and had it on the dyno again, I was really happy with the results have a look! http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b111/JohnShepley/DynowithParallelTurboSetup.jpg This is the before figures at 18PSI http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b111/JohnShepley/DYNO2.jpg And here are the after figures, the readout that says boost up is at 18PSI (As on the previous Dyno figures) and the other is at 17PSI As you can see it made a great difference and a lot more than I had hoped for! It's looks awsome too, even with my standard bumper, totaly transforms the look of the front I think. I will post a picture of the IC fitted once I get them from my mate that took them for me! I would highly recommend this FMIC from Paul at Miami GT, especially at the price considering it comes with all the bit's needed to fit on the car (polished hard pipes, samco joins, propper clamps, brackets, the lot!) The kit is designed for the Jap model I think and I had to move a few things, so I will add a fitting instruction for this IC soon. Thanks again Paul!
