  1. anywhere else where we can get these cheaper, would lie soem of these but seems a bit pricey...let me know how u get on with painting them mate...or maybe i shud just go for the debadged route
  2. thats shocking mate, sorry to hear, but its good he got his car back in one piece, it could have been a lot worse if they seriosuly damaged it etc, still doesnt excuse what they did tho definitely invest in some anti-hijack mate, i have it in my supra, basically if anyone jacks my car, the car would immobilise itself after 20secs of driving or something, unless they know the code to put in, which is pretty unlikely, to be honest i didnt realise how useful it was, didnt realise many people did this round here, obviously they do
  3. yea mate know the feeling with these exams, cant wait till there over

    lambo doors

lol the doj let me correct you, now i have them on my car lol, i bought rob wilsons car hehe the lambo kits aernt really recommeneded as its a pain in the ass opeing and closing them, especially closing them. Im fine with them now, but anyone else new who wants to jump in, takes ages for them to work it out, going to get it looked at as its the closing mechanism which is causing the proble. like when u go to close the door, it can actually go to below the height needed to close it so u just bang the supra frame rather than the door, hopefully can get it so it only ever goes low enough that it closes into the space first time. i guess if its 100% then its great, it does look cool still tho soz if its putting u off mate, but just being honest, however maybe my views will chnage if i manage to get it sorted.
  14. scissor kit looks good, takes a bit of getting used to, but its fine. plus u dont always have to lfit htem up, just when you feel like it lol, but yea might get some wd40 on it as can be a bit stuff...id say the normal ones are deffo a lot more easier/practical, but i guess thats the same with a lot of mods lol i like the car as it is, just going to get tints, and new lights, and then sort out some i.c.e, and sat nav for inside over the next few months...
  15. thanks mate, its a beauty, had it for 2 days now, well 1 1/2 days lol, loving it, looking into changing the front headlights tho, classic yellowy colour, going to refurbish them soon, but not sure whether i shdu go for j spec facelift, uk, or jspec facelift with angel eyes what u think mate
  16. yea man, resident evil 1 was such an amazing game, actualyl just started playing the new one recently, on the ps2, so ill let you know how it goes when i get through it, also got to say that goldeneye was awesome as well anyone feeling me if i put final fantasy 7 on the list too...love my r.p.g's
  17. no worries mate, cant wait till saturday
  18. cheers mate nice install u got there, guess i should really wait and see whats already in the car lol, just cant help myself getting back into the i.c.e scene, though do think maybe the only thing i should be doing right now is heading to bed lol

    Insurance

anyone know about what would happen if someone else crashes into your supra, where your company doesnt cover you for like for like, however your claiming through the other company do they get in contact with your insurer, and because its not life for life, they wont cover u, or does the other company cover everything. thanks
  20. what do you guys think of this set up, im thinking alpine spr 176a 6.5" components for the fronts ALPINE SPR-17LP coaxials for the rear or instead alpine type r 6*9's some type of 4channel amp for these speakers then for subs 2 12" Alpine type r's (old ones 300rms each) and an amp to run them im just looking for general advice if u think this would sound good or not, ive alread got the bass end, just the front speakers and rear ones, ive heard stories about 6*9's and subs not going well together etc, due to displacement of air or something, plus dont think if id want to hole up the parcel shelf. anyway just some initial thoughts would be nice cheers

    Insurance

hey yea think thats the best deal quick questiong regarding the companies who dont replace like for life like elephant. lets say if someone else crashes into me, and they are liable, and i have declared my bodykit on my own policy etc, they are claiming through their own company as the incident was there fault. Would they have to replace like for like, or standard, im presuming like for like but not sure thanks guys

    Insurance

yea good point guys, found this lovely link http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=54143&highlight=insurance going to try them now, ill see what the like for like cover costs and hopefully its not too bad, and if it is, well ill just go for the standard replacement for now, and after 1yr no claims, then hopefully shud be a little better price wise, will keep u guys updated

    Insurance

Ok i think ive managed to get an okish deal, though its the first couple of companies ive tried. I amm 22yrs old, 0ncb, i live in a safe area and park on driveway With elephant/admiral, mods not declared was £1100, and declared was only £1300 however the only thing im worried about with elephant is the mods are not covered for like for like replacement, which companies do this as i might give them a try as well. i tried sky however the guy didnt seem to happy and immediately said he couldnt insure me because i had 0ncb, but ive been drivign as a second driver for 3yrs now, think thats what helped with elephant. naturally id like my mods covered, dont think im going to get it much cheaper than 1300 as ive just turned 22 as well, however worth a try, is there a specefic guy at sky everyone deals with, as the guy i was on the phone to seemed in a real bad mood from the offset.. would like sky as im going to join this club soon as well and the discount will help. cheers guys
