Alright mate, I can only go from my experience as I moved into a new build last June I had to pay BT to install the new line (approx £185 125 if my memory serves) and then I was paying BT line rental and had my broadband with Tiscali Got fed up with paying through the nose for the line rental and broadband so moved to TalkTalk. I moved to TalkTalk within 12 months without a charge so I reckon once you've been connected you'll be able to move to your chosen provider straight away Hope this helps Cheers, Matt
