I had the 1.8 GL Mk3 Terrible car imo. Bodywork was terrible (rust spots appeared all-over and the paint job (red) by VW was hopeless. I didn't really experience VW's renowned reliability with this car either. Handling is absolutely hopeless too, almost dangerous! Just my 2p
