Nah... my take on it is that to finish first, first you have to finish. Ingesting a stone on the last lap when you're 0.5 seconds in the lead would make most racers want to commit suicide

Mayhaps. Quite an interesting conversion though. A Supra can never be a sleeper, but an Omega could be.

I think there's a lot to be said for equal traction at both ends of the car on a road car. Balance is important when driving in low-friction conditions.
