    V12 engines

That was only a special edition, the engine you're talking about was from the Pheaton
  2. I predict an explosion.

    V12 engines

There was never a W12 in a Touareg.
  4. I'm not living like a hermit. I pay £1.55 per litre for my fuel. The difference is that I understand the issues behind the pricing. IMO it's bigger than a few (and believe me, it isn't many at all) commercial vehicle-owning firms who are running out-dated fleets. That's the thing... it isn't the 'average chap'. The poeple affected are actually few and far between.
  5. A very happy birthday to our resident gimp. Have a good one dude, and try not to have sex with too many boot releases.

    hi everyone

Welcome. What do you have planned for the car? It's a great looking motor.
  7. Cool car. I have so much time for Merc. I'd have one over a BMW.
  8. Buying new works in some situations, but there's no denying you get a LOT more for your money buying second hand.
  9. Nothing wrong with that, unless you buy new!
  10. Second hand prices may well take a massive dip for the Audi. That's another reason why I'd buy the Aston
  11. I'd probably end up with the 458 in white if it was my money. Simply stunning cars. It would be VERY hard not to go to Woking though. However, the smart money is on the V12 Vantage.
  12. I think you'll end up feeling the same way about the R8 very quickly. Its interior isn't brilliant, and it just doesn't feel special enough to justify its price tag. The engine sounds nice and your gran could drive it very quickly, but it takes itself far too seriously. There's no theatre, and for that reason I don't think it's a supercar. Oh, and JC is wrong about the Macca. That's a serious bit of kit
  13. I've driven several it's my job to test drive cars. Would you consider a toy and an everyday car? I think the days of 'one car for all situations' are rapidly coming to an end thanks to monumental running costs.
  14. I've heard quite a few horror stories. There's loads of them online, and I've heard directly from some owners too. There's a reason Nissan can sell that car so cheap
  15. It was always locked down on the road. Never had a problem with the police, and I asked two traffic coppers about it too. They approved.
  16. You don't need talent, you have all those computers to do the hard bits for you I have to say though, Porsche has a reputation for reliability that the GTR can only dream of... Agreed about the 8C. I'd love one just to stare at. I want to own a 75 for a while too.
  17. I've driven several. They're at least £20k over-priced, and TBH I find them boring.
  18. I don't love Alfas! They're always such a massive let-down Bang for buck is a relative term though isn't it? I'd be wanting something I can drive at ten tenths for as long as I can, not something that'll go quickly in a straight line a couple of times before something breaks.
  19. For me, the Cayman, every single time. I could never spend money on one of those Nissans. They're the definitive money pit, and don't do anything at all for me. I love emotion in my cars, and there isn't a Nissan or an Audi out there which flicks my switch.
  20. You got your girlfriend to do it
  21. Really? I can't stand modern Audis. Even the R8 leaves me totally cold.
  22. Welcome. Your photography is much better than your parking
  23. Can you all please place nice and stop the swearing? I can't be bothered with actually having to do something this evening.
  24. We built it using some brackets and parts from an MR2 turbo. It ran off an electric window switch under the dash.
