    Sounds like you didn't Recovery firms are notoriously bad with modified cars. I sat in a layby on an Autobahn for 10.5 hours once thanks to ADAC. There was only a toilet, several hundred used condoms and some strange looking truck drivers for company.

    Neither engine will work anywhere near as well as the flat-four the chassis was designed for. This car isn't about out-right speed. I wouldn't mind a supercharged Boxer one though.

    Interesting. That's brilliant value. I've been looking to get my race lid sprayed for ages but like you have been given some silly quotes. The MSA bit means is it OK for competitive racing... but I suppose if he does Hamilton's lids then it is.

    I can't imagine anything more terrifying. We need a huge hike in driver education standards before that can work safely.
