If you're looking for a decent turbo manufacturer, Borg Warner is one of the best firms out there. They make all kinds of OEM turbos, including the clever variable ones for the 911 Turbos. Been around rather a long time

The auto will be quicker in a straight line, but who cares about straight lines? Corners are the difficult bit, and the manual will always be quicker then - ASSUMING you can drive.

Tuning bits will be available from TRD that won't invalidate your warranty, and several UK tuners are already developing parts with cars that have been imported early.
