I've often wondered what an Aston with a 2JZ engine would be like.

I wonder how quick the GTR would seem if you stuck a properly fast car up against it on track. That's the thing - I could never in a million years put my money into a GTR. If you want a road car, there are far better cars out there for mileage on UK roads... especially for the amount on money you'll spend over three years. If you want a track car, there are quicker, more rewarding and more impressive cars out there for less money. It falls into the void for me - a car I simply couldn't consider. But what do I know?

Depends what you mean by 'fun' to drive. The Supra is far more engaging, but doesn't suffer fools gladly. It's more comfortable too if you do the right things with the suspension. If tuned correctly it should be more reliable, but in poor conditions the four-wheel drive will come in handy. I'd pick the Supra every time. For me the GTR is way too much of a compromise to ever consider owning one. - - - Updated - - - Not at all. I'd have the Supra every time IF it had been tuned to my perfect spec.

You need to find a lot more traction out of corners to be properly quick. Staying off the kerbs will help too.

It was restricted to 480bhp with the turbos, but they removed the turbos to go single. The car is capable of more. It doesn't say it was 480bhp NA.
