  1. Buy some drag radials. Left foot on brake, press throttle with right foot, release brake. Repeat many times and your times will improve.
  2. I would run them at the correct pressures for road driving. R888s are no good for drag racing anyway. They're designed for circuit driving.
  3. it cost the Americans a Government I know where I'd rather live. It isn't there.
  4. Welcome. You can post in the classifieds section once you've become a full member by paying your £10 per year fee. Well worth it if you're buying a Supra. There isn't a better site
  5. The best thing you can do is research how a turbocharged engine really works. A LOT of research will lead to your answer. This is a good book to get you going: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Street-Turbocharging-Mark-Warner/dp/1557884889
  6. with an engine moving around as it does, I wouldn't want to weld all the pipes together. Personally I'd want some flex in there.
  7. If you do need to cut the pipes down, you could always weld a bead around the end of the cut pipe to keep the silicone joiners from blowing off.
  8. No - that one's still trading on here!
  9. To be fair, one of them isn't trading on here anymore but is still a member
  10. Bought a Supra from a complete tool who totally mis-sold it and his own driving abilities. His name was Stuart MacLean or something. Was later told by several people that he was full of it, so I decided I'd write-off his old car using the age-old method of mating frontal area of car with motorway crash barrier. I then continued my journey to the kart track in my mate's car, and managed to roll a kart on the same day. Called Jurgen who imported a near-standard Supra for me, which was excellent. I then proceeded to take it to one of the worst tuning companies I've ever encountered - Toyota GT, JD Modified and 3S Service Centre (all the same outfit run by the same idiot) - and gave the owner James a load of money to ruin my car. After I'd done that I took it to a few other tuners who also did their level best to ruin it (including a few that still trade on here to I won't mention their names) and finally found Lee P at SRD, which is where Supra ownership really took off for me. The rest is history.
  11. I can't work out why you'd want to make one of the most reliable gearboxes in the world less reliable. That seems mental.
  12. Just get a CD of a cat being strangled.

  14. Welcome That is a real stunner Any engine bay shots? Where in Canada are you?
  15. Import the perfect car. Anything else won't be as good quality and you won't be 100% happy. If you've waited this long, hold out for exactly the right thing. Give Jurgen a call.
  16. Personally, I'm going to use a playful mix of moving threads to other sections, mercilessly mocking the OP and deletion.
  17. Thought so - as you can tell, I used to have a Supra! Got a money-draining race car these days though. Will have another Supe one day. As above - the expansion tank will tell you what's going on with your cooling system. The cheapest and easiest way to start your diagnostic is to get a new Toyota rad cap. They're known to fail. Just don't get an uprated one as they often lead to further issues
  18. No, but you can still check the coolant level from there.
  19. Correct, that be me. I think I may have just twigged who you are, too. There's a level marker on there if your car still has the bottle, which many don't!
