  2. Surely the torque steer was worse.
  3. Snow and winter tyres are different things... just get yourself some winter tyres on steel rims, and then you can use them every winter and not risk kerbing an expensive alloy. Plus, a Supra on steel wheels will look amazing.

    Hello 😃

If you've got the deposit offer in writing then effectively you've done a deal. Still, if that's already happened then do you really want to buy a car from them?
  5. There are loads of ECUs out there that'll handle everything you need. What makes the likes of Motec sub-standard for Supras but OK for top-level motorsport?
  6. Regardless of what you do, the insurance is going to ruin you.
  7. Yep, a decent one will be £8k+. No point even looking at cheaper ones. Asking for trouble.

Oh I know - my best mate has an RX7 and it's hilarious how much he's had to spend to cover about 6,000 miles in five years. The Supra is the opposite. I always say rotary engines are like communism. They work well on paper. Not so much in real life.

Welcome You'll get a nice RELIABLE twin turbo automatic for that money, and the way those drive will change your life
  10. Talk about a retrograde step! I can appreciate the work, but for me that's like using the holy grail to drink a WKD out of.

  12. That certainly makes a lot of sense to me, if they've managed to get the gearbox to take that much torque then there's not a huge amount holding it back. I just hope the torque-vectoring system isn't too intrusive and the diff works properly
  13. Watch that txt spk please
  14. I bet you pick up all the pirate stations with that bad boy. Can't be good for fuel economy though.
  15. Don't get me wrong, I like a bit of heel-and-toe as much as the next guy, but some of the autos I've driven recently have really blown me away with their capabilities.
  16. No. Unlikely ever to again, either. Strangely enough, British Airways is getting in the way of any sort of restoration project. .
  17. It's just been announced the Lexus RC F is getting a 5.0-litre 450hp V8, eight-speed auto 'box and RWD. Any or all of that could make it to FT-1 quite easily
  18. Who said it's only for one car? On the other hand, a motorsport V6 turbo from Toyota would make a lot of sense with the forthcoming regs...
  19. As an aside, this isn't going to be the product of the tie-up with BMW. It's *likely* to be a straight-six turbo engine, RWD and it'll get a clever eight-speed gearbox.
  20. Serious amounts of active aero on board
  21. Some of those interior details are just so damn cool. No word on engine yet, but I'd suspect a fairly large-capacity petrol with a hybrid powertrain and an eight-speed auto 'box.
