  1. In all seriousness, I'm looking forward to this. Really like the car as it is now. Will you keep the 2JZ do you think?
  2. http://imgace.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Recession-Forcing-Batman-to-think-smarter..jpg
  3. I couldn't believe they were using them soooo long after the Celica went out of production. If only that was one of the worst bits...
  4. I watched Born to race: Fast Track the other day. It was the single worst thing I've ever been through.
  5. There are some good and valid points in this thread that are currently under discussion
  6. Could we try putting everything in the same post, please? Otherwise it looks like you're bumping your thread hourly, and that's naughty.
  7. Can't you just spec the correct size of wastegate instead?
  8. For a time people started using Evo calipers on Supras. Could be those?
  9. Nope. I just must have been on holiday
  10. The mods aren't as good as they used to be here. Club, forum, downhill, etc.
  11. Will this hang around at that price? http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=29886
  12. Well good - I didn't say anything! Don't take my comment as sexist. I'd have said the same if a bloke had hit a cyclist too.
  13. Stock with a plastic lip, and driving lessons. HTH
  14. Do the brakes, suspension and gearbox. Then do at least 20k miles, then go single turbo.
  15. Is it me or are stock Supras generally worth several thousands more than modified ones? Well, that's true for real ones anyway. Not sure about NAs.
  16. That looks stunningly clean. Nice buy! Will it be a road car or racer?

    New tyres

Bear in mind I'm quite 'hard' on my tyres. Especially the rears!

    New tyres

That seems quite good to me considering. I used to budget for new rubber every 3,000 miles in my Supra
  19. Something very strange about this and I'd suggest members don't answer this question - especially on a public forum.

    New tyres

Just like the NEDC fuel economy and CO2 emissions tests - they're not exactly ideal. Not all tyre firms have the facilities to carry out the tests required for the EU standard either, so some are bound to come out better than others...

    New tyres

Personally for a car like the Supra I'd be more concerned with wet grip than fuel economy - the latter can be affected far more by other factors such as a dirty O2 sensor or poor mapping. Tyres won't make a big difference to efficiency unless you go changing the sizes by a huge amount.

    New tyres

Get the same on front and rear. It's by far the best set-up for handling. The Vredestein ones I had on my last Supra were the best tyres I ever used.
  23. YPLAC. Where I live we have serious issues with parking thanks to absolutely hilarious planning by the local authorities. If he did that near me, the guy in the picture would have a swarm of militant residents beating him senseless before he'd even flicked off the ignition. It's simply inconsiderate. If you need to worry about things like that, you bought the wrong car for your lifestyle.
