  1. You should see the engine pics... they had one sitting next to the car and...
  2. I will have some from yesterday but need to get my friends camera first. I can confirm that this is the right pic though (bear in mind it was still labelled as a concept although it will be very close to the production model: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=2056470&postcount=24
  3. 512bhp is more than the GTR is "said" to come with. It will also be lighter... the rumoured GTR V spec will be a different matter but that's also going to be a LOT more expensive than the base model. I think it will be close... until it comes to a corner
  4. As with the Lotus Evora the pics really don't do it any justice. In the metal it's a hugely imposing car with a lot of presence.
  5. Some I've seen before and some not. Worth a laugh on a Friday afternoon. http://www.bspcn.com/2008/06/07/the-50-best-pun-stores/
  6. You will do if you keep on using it
  7. The luxury or presitge element is what the GTR is missing in this respect.
  8. Oh it is... IMO it's a stunner. Not sure about the 3 exhausts at the back but I've got a feeling they will grow on me. I read that the GTR was meant to look burly and mean, like the R34 GTR. It gives the impression it's purposeful and "hard". The Lexus - being a luxury Toyota - is going to be a looker, a performer and a nice place to be. I wouldn't call the LF-A an underdog but I'd say it's more directly competing with the 911 models than the GTR.
  9. She said it was aimed at a different market. Fair play really - there isn't much that can compete with the Datsun in that price bracket... or anything under £150k. The Corvette ZR1 is faster in some situations but is no where near as user friendly.
  10. My mate is on a nightshift tonight so the lazy ba*tard is in bed
  11. I was talking to someone from Lexus yesterday and she mentioned that the LF-A is going to be priced at around £80k for the hardtop version in the UK. The Roadster will be over £100k. This is significant for me as I'd heard both versions were going to be over £100k. £80k is a little more realistic IMO and should generate a few more sales. She was very careful to tell me that the car isn't aiming to compete with the GTR. Nice little disclaimer there The engine looks like a work of art, with the 10 independent throttle bodies visable on top of the engine. I'm looking forward to seeing it at WOT in the metal. The car seems to sit very nicely as well, it has quite an aggressive stance. I've got some good pics on a friends camera, I'll try and get them up soon.
