Historically Merc hasn't enjoyed the greatest reliability record, especially through that period. That said, there are decent cars around. Just make sure you do your research.

They are silly quick. With the sports exhaust they sound evil too. Had the pleasure of driving one on track about nine months ago on the launch. Goes rather sideways if you push it, but you really have to give it some!

I've felt a difference on cars in the past, but they do have to be substantial bits of kit to have any effect. Most I see are flimsy and some are even hinged!

Ah right, missed that bit. Could be either. It does sound ignition-related to me, but also could be fuelling. These intermittent faults are a nightmare -
Does it misfire? Could easily be coil pack clips...

Subframe bolts loose? Not sure that would cause the heavier steering though. Tyre pressures all OK?

Welcome Anything you buy over here in the UK is going to be very expensive for you. I'd be looking at packs from the likes of Titan, Powerhouse Racing or - if you can afford it - Full Race.

Should be fine the run it like that. The boost you'll hit depends on the size of the ring though.

Doesn't have to at all. There are all sorts of things you could factor in, such as GPS compared to wheel speed through corners. That really opens up proper lap times. Plenty more besides! Tyre pressure monitoring, the list goes on. Depends how 'race' you want to go with it. The things I'm talking about are the things you'll need to be quickest, not necessarily look the best

Why don't you look into race car telemetry? That's the way to get 'proper' data for track driving.

I know this isn't very helpful, but it's worth whatever people are willing to pay for it. With that in mind, I'd start a period of bidding for it to get the best price if you really want to sell. Oh... I guess you already have FWIW, I wouldn't sell it. Can't be many like that around now. Would be a huge shame to see it go abroad.

It's more the fact that it simply doesn't work - fashion went well before understanding what an intercooler actually does. Anyway, this thread is definitely in my top 5 of all time.
