    Seems quite common these days. A Bishop has been in the news lately doing exactly that. Here's what Wiki has to say on the subject. I can't understand it myself, at the end of the day, millions of people were killed what ever you call it.

    A false economy refers to something that you pay for but don't get very good value for. The box itself will be much cheaper to buy than the 6 speed, but the other parts of the conversion will be the same price(ish). The 5 speed will hold 350bhp no worries, but I guess it depends what your future plans are.

    What reason do you have for wanting to go 5 rather than 6 speed? The ratios? The 5 speed isn't anywhere near as strong as the 6 speed. Is it price related? It can be done, but might be a false economy TBH.
