In mid-slide the weight distribution of a mid-engined car will mean that the rear end swings out almost uncontrollably, which is what the learned sir meant by a pendulum effect. It's far from an accurate description, because the pendulum effect is actually amplified by a car being mid-engined, not created by it. Basically, if you lose the back end on an MR2 you'll know about it. Reverse generally has to be engaged. In a Supra you've got less chance of looking like a mong -
I'll be at ISTS watching Suprash drift in the BDC... I'll also be going on track for this exact reason. As mentioned above, the drive wasn't the greatest on that vid. It will be a lot faster when the decent drivers have a go. Still an improvement on Silverstone IMHO.
