  1. I suffer from acute furiosis. What a weird way to spend 10 mins.
  2. I'm struggling to put into words quite how wrong you are. The Maclaren F1 is still one of the best cars ever built, even compared to the Veyron etc. It may not have the all-out grunt, but makes up for it in the twisties. Why do you think they gave Lewis Hamilton one for winning the F1 last year? He got the first one ever built. I mean it's got a gold-plated engine bay as standard FFS! Hardcore just isn't the word. Oh, and how many have you seen on the road? I've seen loads of XJ220s. My guess is that this car will sell for around £2m. Worth every penny for a GTR version with such pedigree.
  3. I got into a lot of trouble because of him. Note: never actually call women "doublebum" unless you know they've seen his act.
  4. How much do you guys think this car is worth? Answers on a postcard (or just type them below). http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/915290.htm ...still, you would though wouldn't you?
  5. Ultralite Nurburgring 755 in 18"
  6. All the people spouting on about moving should just do it and leave the better parts of our country to us. I for one don't actually mind free healthcare (however bad it is), free and exceptional education, job opportunities galore and help if you can't find one, beautiful countryside and interesting history. At the end of the day Britain will always be 'home', where ever I choose to live. We need to sort out the inevitable over-crowding that will happen because of our immigration policies but when you take an objective view it doesn't seem all that bad. If you need any more inspiration just take a drive through the valleys of Wales or around the country lanes of Hampshire. I do, and it works every time. Yesterday I did exactly that, and couldn't have enjoyed it more. I've moved to different countries, but I'm still here.
  7. Jazz, what are the original do-luck fronts made from? Fitment is one of the issues that is making me go back to stock, as is the flexibility.
  8. I quite like it. I'm sure it will make for better individual races.
  9. I recommend 'Dancing on the edge of time' by Michael Moorcock. It doesn't have zombies, but by the end you'll be thinking some very deep and interesting thoughts. It helped me discover the meaning on life the other night.
  10. 3 years of having to repair the fibreglass, constant adjust the sinking and generally not being happy have taken their toll mate. Plus, the stonechips are a nightmare when you're chasing RS6s up the Autobahn at 180mph.
  11. Thanks for being so specific I completely understand now. Thing is, the car shows that I tend to go to usually have 100% stock cars, and a stock looking Supra still grabs attention like you wouldn't believe if it's been maintained correctly. Pushing everyone on the forum into the showcar scene isn't exactly a fair and accurate way of classifying what looks 'good'.
  12. I'm not a hardcore Supra enthusiast mate. I have had 2 of them simply because they were the best cars I could afford at the time without having to be rebuilt every 5000 miles. (lol). I don't think it's that strange at all that there are so many black, stock bodied Supras. The reason is simple - they look good. I guess it completely depends then on who you're trying to impress with your car. Who is this magical 'crowd'?
  13. It totally depends what you want the car for. Personally I'm going to take my do-luck off and go back to stock. I'm sick of the rubbish you've got to put up with just to have a poorly fitting front bumper. My car isn't meant to be a show car, I drive it hard. I guess if you want people to look at you then buy an orange Supra with VS kit, but IMO a black stock-styled one will always command more respect.
  14. The search button is awesome! That holds the key to the na/t route IMO.
  15. I think with silver the problem you'd have is making anything stand out enough to class as advertising. What colour contrasts silver enough to catch the eye?
  16. I've got a PADI open water license, but I doubt that's quite up to the level of the rest of you Still, it's one of my favourite things to do. Fantastic hobby.
  17. I would pay to bring him back, but only if he promises to join in with Imi's threads.

    help :) please

Why wouldn't we like it mate? A lot of us have owned MR2s in our time Are you talking about the Toyota badge for the boot or front bumper? Either way, Paul Whiffin from Whifbitz or Nic (both members on this board) should be able to help.
  19. Giving money to cancer research. Giving money to the blind Giving money for disabled sports Shall I go on? I think you'll find the money given by the UK government is rather a lot more than your small-minded view can comprehend. Who is to blame for what exactly? The fact that there are poor people (a smaller proportion than pretty much every other country)? Or the fact that we have charities to reinforce the work our government already does? Exactly how old are you? Or how long have you been studying British and even international politics. You're starting to sound like one of these kids who just wants to finger the government because they don't understand the (much) bigger picture. And I'm sure in 2 years the Tories will be the crooks, once you've latched onto another such thing to complain about. Sure, ever wondered why we're not the only country in a financial mess? Ever thought that - for instance - Icelandic people are blaming the UK government? Because I can assure you, they're not. I meant financially, i.e. the poorest people. Bascially, I see your view as very closed-minded, and quite inflamatory considering you can't back up what you're saying because fundamentally I'm right. Charity doesn't work effectively in a capitalist society. Moaning about it just highlights to me you'd be more happy in a dictatorship or a communist society. Close the door quietly on your way out.
  20. But that's the point isn't it? Captialism doesn't work with charity in an effective way, because it's against the very ideals of the system.
  21. I actually agree with Matt H! Charity is society's way of progressing where government isn't/can't/won't/is ineffective IMO. You can't blame the government for a hurricane or a snow storm so why do you keep trying to point your finger at them for something else that isn't entirely within their control? It's getting a little old and boring now with everyone blaming the government for what they aren't doing. Isn't it time we looked at what they're doing and looked forward, rather than just having little 'rants' about it? We're in the situation we're in, and if charities are necessary to help the lowest common denominator then what exactly is the issue? It's not like the government is doing nothing, is it?
