Some strangely petty arguements going on in here (imi). I think where there's such an element of unrest right now that things were always going to be inflamatory, despite measures taken by the authorities. Comparing to other protests in the past of the same scale it actually went quite smoothly, despite the mass media's provocative and irresponsible reporting of the event. The Home Office comes under critism for their tactics but what exactly could they have done differently?

I think the main focus here should be "will the plane take off?". Consider these variables: 1) your gun is large. Very large. It's usually found on the back of railway cars in Germany. 2) your treadmill is infinitely huge and fast 3) there is no velcro 4) the plane has bearings in the wheels which can spin as fast as anything ever produced 5) it's not an easyjet plane. With these in mind, my question is: Can a rabbit be expected to eat spiders on demand?

The IPCC is comprised of both police officers and civilians. It's run as an independant watchdog to regulate how the police deal with misconduct etc. For example, any deaths in police custody. Although they are independant by definition, who regulates the IPCC should be the question to ask.

Here's the thing. He crashed his car. It's currently in a bodyshop in Basingstoke where it's been repaired, but he needs an RX7 specialist to look at the car's electrics because he's having some serious problems. I'm fairly sure his RAC policy won't cover that, but I'll get him to call them and confirm.
