The technology of going faster has always been ahead of the technology of human safety. If they began - for instance - to use jet engines on wheels then the G forces involved would be impossible for humans to endure for 2 hours. The reaction times of the drivers would also be a concern. I'm not saying I wouldn't like to see it happen though

In response to this thread I'd like to use a massive amount of swear words. Unfortunately they're censored, yet m8 isn't. I'm not sure the public at large realise what this is doing to our language... we're turning into a list of abbreviations! HTH. ...On a serious note, I won't take anyone who uses txt speak to communicate with me seriously. Use it and expect a stupid answer.

Did you even read this thread?? You should be looking at a remap and boost controller to make use of the TTC setup. When done correctly it's actually (arguably) easier to launch. I found exactly that and loved every minute of TTC until I went single and forgot what it stood for

If it's a 6-speed N/A then it may well be a later model of Supra, in which case a TT transplant might be a better option for you. N/A-T certainly doesn't offer good value. If you're worried about insurance then I wouldn't do anything with a turbo if I was you. You'd have to declare it to your insurers anyway wouldn't you?

Do you have a boost gauge? What spec is the car? Does it make any odd noises? Is it a TT?

A Lotus Carlton would murder a stock TT. Probably a BPU one too unless it's had £££ spent on it.

Now that we've gone waaaay off topic here I'll shut up about it, but I'd be interested in hearing more on your views as to how technology progresses in modern society. Maybe in another thread though.

I think actually in this society with money comes technological advancement, not the other way round. But that's another discussion. Agreed, but aren't the teachings of all the major religions based around humans being morally acceptable to others? I don't see why it's so important to believe in stories and tales when a decent set of social and psychological morals will go just as far.

I think it's strange to feel the need to differentiate between east, west and the moon. Surely as a human race or even just a set of morals, we've been here a lot longer than the conflicts or differences between areas have. I don't believe Christianity is where we came from. In fact, quite the opposite. Christianity has been detrimental IMO, and is the cause of so much close-mindedness and lack of progress in the world today.

Trappings fundamental to the teachings though, surely? They lack credibility, and hence the teachings do. IMHO of course, not wanting to ruffle feathers. To me it's akin to religiously following Big Brother. For me it's easier to subscribe to things I can relate to. The whole jesus/god thing is so riddled with inaccuracies it's laughable. As for "His" message: well, I think people are quick to confuse morals with religion.

I quit cigarettes on New Years Eve a few years back. If you pick a landmark time like I did then it gets easier the longer you last. You just need to keep thinking: "if I smoke now, it's x weeks/months/years down the drain"
