  1. Depends if you want to use it or look at it.
  2. You wrote "killed by the Government" when you meant "killed by owners who don't care".
  3. One of my pubes fell out earlier.
  4. That's pretty terrible to be honest. I'm surprised HKS doesn't understand the technicalities of recirculating like that.
  5. So it's only bolted to the car on one side?
  6. I remember 'bad boy bonnets'!! Very 90s Nova It does look good though, to be fair. TSW Venoms next?
  7. BW is one of the biggest suppliers of OEM turbos. That's why I went for one.
  8. I'm sure he meant second-hand. There are plenty of knock-offs on Ebay though Proper, genuine branded HKS stuff isn't cheap.
  9. I was considering giving Patrick a call about it actually. He's heavily involved in the club I race with so it makes sense.
  10. The balance is an issue for me as I'd be planning on some pretty serious track driving in it. This is why I fancied keeping it a four-pot. - - - Updated - - - My last mk2 was around 300bhp. I'd consider that mild
  11. How quick compared to a mild-tune 3S-GTE in a mk2 MR2?
  12. Anyone driven or been in a turbocharged MK3 MR2? I'm wondering what they drive like and how simple/difficult the conversion costs. My other thought is a 3S-GTE engine in one, but I reckon that'll be far more work.
  13. In my experience it's best not to screw with nature.
  14. It all depends how you feed the pipe back into the exhaust. If you do it far enough down and at a shallow enough angle it shouldn't make much difference. If you put it at 90 degrees close to the turbo then it's going to create all sorts of boost problems. For your use I'd just vent it out to atmosphere to be honest, especially if you like the sound. If you need it quieter for track days then you'll need it recirculated.
  15. Ooooh. I wasn't aware much needed smoothing. How do you do that? Filler?
  16. What does it mean, anyway? Anyone got pics?
  17. He looked twice, and both times the car was in the same position, which looked very much like he was going to take the outside line. I'd think that's why he pulled over to cover the inside, by which point the car was alongside. I genuinely believe most racers would have done the same as both drivers in this incident. It will be interesting to see if it's a symptom of these new cars with 100% torque at all times - that moves happen quicker than people are expecting.
  18. The track was at fault, agreed. Not the driver though. I've watched this incident over and over because I simply don't agree with the ban or the way this has been dealt with in the media. I'm sorry, but you've obviously not driven a single-seat racing car if you think that. It's nearly impossible to know everything going on around you in situations like that, and both drivers did exactly what I'd have expected them to do. The driver behind went for a gap and the driver in front tried to close the door. Both of those moves are legitimate racing moves. It just so happened that the driver behind took his chance at the wrong time for the driver in front. The 'conventional' line to take would have been to try the outside line, but since it was the final corner, he went inside instead and because the timing was off the cars had a coming together. It's funny really, the commentator called it live during the race before any of the reaction kicked off. This incident was no more unusual than Lewis/Nico, except that the track wasn't suitable for that sort of racing.
  19. The media and its understanding of racing is the main issue here. It was plain to see what happened - there was no fault. It was simply two very accomplished racers going for the same bend. The driver in front lost track of where the rear driver was, and the rear driver went for the obvious gap once the inside line was covered. Any sort of ban is an absolute joke, and IMO puts the new formula into a very awkward position. Great PR for FE though
  20. This thread has turned into an interesting discussion. I don't see it as a 'bash the Ben' thread at all. We probably need another one for that A minimum post count would definitely cut down on the amount of Supras for sale on here, but by how much? Would the members be missing out, or would we just be avoiding dogs? No right answer here, it's up for discussion.
  21. What do you mean? That there should be other restrictions?
  22. That looks about the size of it as far as I'm concerned. I'd suspect members asking genuine questions about the car should be OK too. There may be detail missing from the advert that could affect the sale.
  23. Be wary of the phrase 'fresh import'. Many use it, but it can be very misleading. I've seen recent imports that are a LONG way from what I'd call 'fresh'.
  24. This, plus many members will start a 'what is my car worth' thread. That is the time to bash prices!
