  1. It's not personally upsetting to be honest, but I can see the people who put a huge amount of effort into the calendars for absolutely no return might be a little peeved. Still, if you think you can sell them, there's nothing stopping you doing a private lot
  2. I suppose that side of things would be at the discretion of the person doing the calendar... but I see your point. Pics of Gamer's car, for instance, would still look great now. We've been pretty good in the past about this sort of thing though. My car got in one year on a shot taken on a pocketcam by my mate who ran across the road while we were outside a well-lit building!
  3. You'd be surprised at the way some people think... for instance, if an 'OK' shot is likely to get into the Scottish calendar and not the Official one, the member won't enter it for the Official one as they don't want to be seen to be losing. It's their car, after all! That means we get less entries for the Official one, and so quality suffers.
  4. ...Or it could dilute entries to the official club calendar, depending on which way you look at it
  5. There's no anti-Scot conspiracy here! It's all about supply and demand, I suppose, but I don't see what good it does when we struggle so much to fill the club calendar as it is. How many would you expect to sell? More than 12 (one for each car in it)? Otherwise I don't see the point, unless it's simply to get your car into a calendar regardless.
  6. Sorry to hear about your loss. Insurance companies ALWAYS low-ball you with the first offer but you don't have to take it. Go back with a counter-offer and proof the car is worth more, and don't take no for an answer. It's just another way they try and ruin us.

    Alcohol

The Absinthe you drink these days has no wormwood in it, which is the stuff that made all those artists go mental. It's a different drink, hence it being on sale now.

I totally gave up beer once I found out how bad it is for you.
  13. Customer service is more important than cost when it comes to a claim... trust me!
  14. Yeah, I've always had good experiences. If you speak to one of their specialists, they actually know what you're talking about. That's pretty valuable actually as you'll be sure your car is properly covered.
  15. The club insurer is Sky.
  16. ANRP is irrelevant. If there's no plate, there's nothing for it to read. Same thing for bikers... I'd wager anyone looking at a clean Supra with no front plate wouldn't notice the lack of plate, as the rest of the car would stand out far more.
  17. There's also the point that a strange-looking plate will probably stand out more than a car without a plate fitted at all... that's what I found when mine fell off for a few years. No attention at all, except the traffic coppers who pulled over to tell me how nice they thought the car was while I was filling up
  18. Or just use a legal plate for the UK and have no hassle
  19. No, it's not legal. All you need to know here: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/359317/INF104_160914.pdf
  20. I'd do some work to make the car feel more stable under hard driving if it were me. I'm an idiot though

    New Owner.. help?

The first two will make the car more uncomfortable, and brakes have no effect on comfort at all...
  22. Autotrader, Pistonheads and Ebay. Also might be worth sticking it on the classic websites if it isn't too modified.
