Get a quote from Adrian Flux, then go back to Sky and see if they will drop their quote. They did for me. Most insurance renewal quotes are high, not just from Sky. It's because some people will just pay without thinking about it (I think). A bit of shopping around and some price-matching is required. Sky gave me a very nice price after I did the above. The renewal quote was laughable compared to what I paid.

I'd say around £9k will get you a mint TT6 (twin turbo 6 speed). I came from MR2 turbos to Supras and believe me, johnny g has it bang on. As he said above, it's a different league. Upgrade, sit back, and enjoy Toyota's best car to date.

Toss up between N1BR's motor and KDW's. On a serious note, I like Burna's car for a daily driver, and a big single for track days although I haven't seen one that ticks every box yet.

It's the torque levels you need to think about but people's 5 speed boxes have failed at BPU level with the TT engine. I very much doubt it would last long.

There are some pretty rough NAs around and the Golf is a fairly good car if you like that sort of thing.
