  1. I'll swap! Mine have been retrimmed in black leather with 'Supra' stitched in silver
  2. I love the Recaros... keep them!
  3. Why do you say that? My feeling is we'll achieve more with a hard copy, because that's where the gap in the market is. There's nothing wrong with carbon offsetting if that's where you're going, but the point about people having something to physically hold is a good one. Agreed, but with enough willing people it could work. I say we give it a go using the idea Ellis put forward, design a double page spread to test reaction.
  4. It shouldn't need cooling down then

    replikit

Works for me, all I did was type 'replikit' into the search box.

Searching this forum for the word 'replikit' would be a good start.
  8. This isn't going to be a few bits of times new roman on A4... if I'm going to put my name to this it will have to be good Also, I'd like to make this the first step towards fighting back at what The Fast and The Furious has done to our cars and the perception thereof. We're not (generally) a bunch of chavs, but real enthusiasts with good cars who love to drive them.
  9. Now we're talking, fellas! Precisely what I was thinking. Proper features on events, days out and motorsport dates. They can go onto the website afterwards if needs be, but some kind of USP in that vein would certainly be a good start. I think you're right, and thanks for the offer of your skills Something like that, if done well, could work very nicely.
  10. Ryan G is the main reason The old adage comes up again and again: choose your mapper, then allow him/her to help you with ECU choice. Personally Scott, I'd talk to Ryan before committing to anything.
  11. It should be non-profit IMO and £2 was just a guide price. Of course, nothing will make it into the magazine without permission from the author, completely apart from the site. That goes without saying from an ethical point of view (well, mine anyway).
  12. I'd advise ditching it and cooling the car down properly mate. It's not a good idea to leave a car idling, and is illegal if you leave the car before turning it off. Run the car gently for a few minutes if you've been thrashing the car. That's a lot safer.
  13. Not if we have copies for sale at all the car shows the club attends, or at meets, or any real world situation really. Nope. Who knows? People may well like to spend £2 to find out about the world of Supras without having to sign up and pay £10 for membership. Call it 'on-the-bog' reading. Obviously the publication will be linked to the site, but at the same time will not (and couldn't be) a carbon copy of it. The site has masses of content. I'm talking about simmering it down into interesting articles and features which your average car enthusiast might like to read.
  14. I think it's an opportunity to collate the information into a user-friendly format, which may be easier to enjoy if someone isn't as proficient on computers or forum software.
  15. I've been championing the idea of a club magazine with some of the mods (you know who you are! ). I think we could produce something fairly respectable, mainly for the following reasons: The talent of photographers we have on the site (e.g. Tom, Lui) The quality and humour in certain member's writing (e.g. Michael, Red M, Matt H) The photogenic cars people have built (e.g. Supradibbs) The photogenic driving some members like to partake in (e.g. Jamie P) The build threads we've seen over the past year have also been incredible, in both pictoral and technical aspects. The club events make the ideal content for major features, and we've got members competiting in 3 different kinds of motorsport that spring directly to mind. Members could add blogs about trips they've been on, and it would give the newer members a way to familiarise themselves with the club and its members without feeling like they have to become 'accepted' as a poster on the site first. We've such a wealth of experience on here, I think it would be good to have something we can be proud of as a club. What do people think? What objections do people have? I've added a poll with a few options/ideas, vote for as many as you like. It's just to get an idea of demand or lack of... I can add more options as they are suggested. I'd be happy to get involved in my own time to help pull it all together, I have some professional experience at this sort of thing.
  16. Until you tell us what's on the stickers, it's a surprise
  17. I think you'll find that's the calling-card of members of the Directory of Under-appreciated Monopoly Players (DUMP).
  18. Huh? If you don't use it you'll have less sound. What I think you mean is that the HKS system has no screamer, because the dump tube from the wastegate is plumbed back into the downpipe. This creates less noise than a system where the dump tube vents to atmosphere, for obvious reasons. It's possible to vent the system to atmosphere, but if you buy an HKS kit then you'll end up chopping the original kit. Better to go for a kit with a screamer pipe as standard, like the PHR kits, if you want LOUD. Personally, I'd prefer it rerouted. That's just me though.
  19. EDIT - no, I got reposted. DOUBLE reposted. Oh well. Time for bed.
  20. 5_JmXCNPs6Y My mate just sent me this, I found it quite entertaining.
