Nice project. Will you make it handle well too? The 350Z has a lovely chassis. PLEASE don't rat-rod it. Would ruin the feel of the car, IMHO.

It's all about finding the right buyer, but I'd say the above upper estimates are possible if it's as clean as it looks. Lovely motor.

No idea if it would fit, but the Supra cost four times more than the Aygo does today - back in 1996. Think about the difference in quality...

I'd say £12kish at that spec. It won't go much higher because it's an N/A, but there are some nice bits on there too. Someone is going to get a lot of car for their cash! Would it make more sense to break it?

Took me a while to work it out, to be fair! Just put the wheels on before you start. The DVLA won't care what wheels are on it.

Supras come with coilovers as standard - think you mean adjustable ones?

Welcome Firstly, it seems the car in question has some electrical issues you need to sort out. I'd advise a specialist as this doesn't sound like a quick job! It also sounds like you have found a very nice car! You don't need a BOV, though. Also, I would get an intercooler kit that fits rather than forcing one on there...

The VVTI engine has more space under the torque curve. That's why a) it's better, and b) most manufacturers use it now

It's the shape that's the problem, not the materials. Mainstream car companies have to jump through incredible hoops to get a car to market now. That's the main reason the GT86 looks crap compared to the FT86 concept it's based on.

how is that going to help? It's as good as admitting you know they're illegal! Can't say I'm a fan of them in the slightest. They cheapen the look of the car significantly.

There's a lot of speculation about this car... no-one knows what's underneath. It could be the old AM chassis, could be the new Mercedes-AMG GT S or it could be something else entirely. Interesting because Aston really needs some new tech, so this could be where it starts. Looks great though, I reckon. Very stylish.
