What sort of things do you hear mate?

I really rate Endless CCR pads. They take no time to warm up, fairly low dust and hard wearing. I didn't get any fade of a lap of the 'ring either.

I'd be the first to admit I'm an idiot. The difference is, I use my imagination to think of ways around making not just my life, but also the lives of people around me, easier. I'm just not presumptuous enough to tell someone how to do their job, and responsible enough to understand the implications of being late in a job I've not been doing very long for such an unnecessary reason.

Well I won't park the car out of view of CCTV, so I took that as an assumption. Obviously the police/insurance would be the last resort, but I will guarantee you that just saying certain things to people will scare them into compensating you. Again though, prevention is the best cure.

Agreed, but part of owning such a car is about learning to deal with these situations, or indeed avoiding it. For instance, parking away from the mums and trolleys is usually a good start. The note I suggested might not be the pathetic idea you are implying though. A demand for compensation in the event of damage, with notice that you have photographic evidence and his/her numberplate would be a shrewd move IMO.
