  1. Welcome! Where in Hampshire are you?
  2. Do it, you won't look back. The only thing I'd suggest: try to get a drive in an Ariel Atom before you sign on the dotted line. They're pretty special too, and very easy to play with (Civic type R engine in the later ones). Good luck, and keep us updated! EDIT: and go for the Golf, it'll be the better towing car although won't look as nice. Make sure it's DSG though. Incredible box.
  3. What do you use the car for? Weekends and trackdays, just trackdays or just on the road? If you drive on track you'll discover a whole new world with the R300.
  4. This is exactly what I think about it.
  5. Why? It was running big twin turbos last time I saw it, but I think he changed for a single T88 after that.
  6. It depends what you plan for the future. If you think you'll go single, I reckon a standalone ECU plus mapping would be a good move. Cams won't get you much extra power at BPU (maybe 20bhp). Have you looked into your intercooler options? Is your SMIC in good nick? If not, you would be sensible to replace it with another one (either stock, side-mounted thicker, or front mounted)
  7. Go BPU. You won't get anywhere near a single turbo for £1500, you'd probably need to add another '0' to get a decent, reliable setup with a bit of power. I'd be looking into some decent management for £1500 (if you mean you have that on top of your BPU budget)
  8. Warning: NSFW language is used in this article. I don't think he was very happy
  9. It's an abortion. I'm sorry, but it looks nothing like an Aston.
  10. Nice numbers mate, graphs look good too. R888s are crap on the dyno, mine only lasted a few runs before they went off. Good job I pulled 512 on the first one You should get yourself a trackday booked to open her up a bit
  11. I am sure you're the exception to the rule though, most people couldn't afford the running costs and maintenance. That's especially true with J spec cars, which are far more common. Some people drive Ferraris to work every day, but only some
  12. MSN cars haven't ever got an article right about the Supra. It's par for the course, unfortunately.
  13. GT4 every time. A Supra just isn't a viable daily driver.
  14. Welcome! My grandad lives in 'Peg
  15. Sweet, £50k for mine then. Profit ahoy! ...oh. No, actually that doesn't make me a profit at all. Gotta love those singles
  16. Very true, although I'd like us both to be wrong. I can see McLaren and Mercedes in serious dogfights this year. I just hope they leave it on the track and stay away from politics.
  17. The Silver Arrows are back So, Ross thinks the 41-year-old has a chance. Opinions?

As long as it all stacks up legally and financially, bite their hand off
  19. Liveries and cars start crawling out of the woodwork, starting today. http://www.evo.co.uk/news/evonews/247552/formula_1_latest.html
  20. Who cares anyway? A Skyline will never make you feel the same way a Supra can. It's like the difference between owning a Playstation 3 with Fifa '09 and owning a football with some mates.
  21. Not sure you're aware how the economics of car sales works, but when a company do a run of cars at a stated number and they end up with more orders than they have cars to sell, that's exactly what you call a success story.
  22. Search and decide, soldier. Search and decide.
