  1. We need a link before we know which car you're talking about.
  2. Also, more reliable and easier to run on a long term basis... until you begin the inevitable slide down modifying mountain. After that, life's a blur of magazines and car parts peppered with the occasional nervous breakdown. Heart conditions can be created *and* cured at a club dyno day. Believe me, I've been there.
  3. Yes, anyone can. Using it on the road would be... interesting. That's a full-on drag racing car mate.
  4. The best car I've owned so far is the Supra. I *think* most people on this site might say the same
  5. Partially NSFW because of the adverts around the video. http://www.totallycrap.com/videos/videos_rally_car_crashes_into_a_mother_and_daughter/ WTF was she thinking?!
  6. All good points but a few things to note: The handling on the Cerbera is lethal... much worse than the Supra and quite unmanageable in general. Build quality is awful, but when you sit in one all that will melt into nothing. They really are special cars to be in. The older style Focus RS is a seriously under-rated car. Massive amounts of lift-off oversteer is possible and the Quaife diff is impressive at putting the power down. If I was buying another hot hatch I'd seriously consider a older Focus RS. I'd have one over a new one, in fact. Have you considered the Megane R26.R? That'll lap a track quicker than 95% of the Supras on here...
  7. Right well thanks for the replies guys. I'm hoping it's not going to get any worse. I've been doing the exercises religiously and I've stiffened up loads, which I think is a good thing... Fingers crossed it's not as bad as some of your experiences. The consultant told me that because of my age (26) I have a good chance of nipping it in the bud without having to have surgery. I'll find out more on my second visit, Monday.
  8. Can I buy your twins when you blow up your engine?
  9. Yes, that was pretty bad as drifting goes!
  10. Is your TRD bonnet metal or fibreglass? I have a black bonnet with no holes cut into it, J spec metal

My friend's PS3 (which I always play on) is under the name goldk28611. If you add as a friend, say you're from the Supra forum. He has an RX7... I can feel a cross-owners club game of domination coming on!

    Flat out?

I've had my car back round past 0 again with 180mph on the clock. No idea whatsoever what speed I was doing but it was fast, and the girl in the passenger seat was screaming. That'll teach her.
  13. I have a Sony DVD recorder for sale. Tech specs and information here: http://www.sony.co.uk/product/dvd-recorder/rdr-hxd1070/tab/technicalspecs Model number is RDR-HXD1070 Condition: as new, only used once or twice (we now have Sky+ HD and don't need this). I'm after £100.
  14. I know two people who got fired for sending messages about their boss to their boss. I honestly don't know how people do it
  15. I was diagnosed with it yesterday. The consultant told me if I work hard on the physio exercises then it should be OK, but all I keep hearing are horror stories like yours
  16. Anyone on here ever had a prolapsed disc in their back? How long did it take to heal and were there any lasting side-effects? Is there anything you can't do now?
  17. Glad to see it's not staying ginger
  18. It's not about lag, but power delivery... if all the boost comes in within 200rpm then the car all-of-a-sudden sees huge stress and the tyres break traction, whereas if the boost comes on slowly but steadily everything is a lot more civilised. That's what's going on in my head, anyway.
  19. The other point to this argument is that if you could have no lag, you would, wouldn't you? I would. Riding the wave of power created by a turbo isn't the only way to having a quick car. Personally I'd be looking for a system where the power doesn't come on so violently, meaning a smoother torque graph and better driveability throughout the whole rev range. This isn't possible on a bigger turbo because of the way boost is created, so a compromise is required. I went for the small turbo option for the above reason, although IMO even the PHR stage 1 kit comes on a bit too strongly for what I want. Power is OK, but maybe big twins would provide the setup I'm really after.
