  13. They couldn't get me any in 275 or 265 40/18 I think Stonkin got some in Reading at Top Gear though, may be worth a shout.
  14. DAMN YOU!!!!! I looked for ages for those. I'm only in Basingstoke, too.
  15. Well I went from R888 to T1-R, so even if they're soft, they won't be compared to the old ones! Even the tyre place who fitted my tyres said the asymetric design isn't as effective on performance cars. The Toyo was the best rubber I could find for my car within a reasonable budget. I can't comment on wear yet but I've spun up the tyres quite a few times and they still look brand new after a bit of drifty action. Lateral grip is good and the car feels planted, with a noticeable reduction in road noise. Again, no wet weather driving either so I can't report on that but bearing in mind I've got a single, I was impressed with how they performed compared to the R888.
  16. I've literally just upgraded to 275 from 265 at the rear on mine. FWIW I'd steer clear of F1 asymetric, they're a step backwards in terms of performance on the Supra. IMO the best tyres are ones with a V pattern, like the old F1 GDS3 or the Toyo T1-R.
  17. Basingstoke is good for what you're after, but it's getting a bit expensive now.
  18. Well you're new, too. If it came from you or from someone else, you still need to open your mind and think about other people's perspectives. Your approach is coming across as both touchy and harsh, when all you really intend is to give good advice (I think).
  19. Guys, remember this guy is new and might now know about recent developments, or maybe doesn't know about Nick Hogan's small incident?! Give him a chance to learn, it might work out better than biting his head off in the long-run.
  20. Actually, you should bare in mind that we've had some loved and valued members killed at the wheels of their cars. Even as I'm typing this I know I've posted about decent races, including racing bikes and the like but don't expect a warm welcome for doing it. Quite the opposite. Luckily, I have Red M to keep me in line. In fact, from now on if I have any run-ins they won't be documented. They certainly won't be shouted about. Maybe it's a touchy subject, but in this case you should calm it and try and absorb what we're saying. Believe me, I'm a serious driver and I've learnt the above the hard way. Try and take heed.
  21. Did anyone ask if the OP knows how to drive?
  22. Yes, last time was to bury a great-Godparent and personally donate to the independent lifeboatmen working on the island - in her name. I have some of my fondest memories there.
  23. High Holly! I love the IOW. Which part are you from? I imagine you'll be buying a Supra for the mainland roads, because yours are WAAAY too small!
