  1. Fair enough - maybe we should have a 'tyre review' thread then so others can give input. That way you get the best of all worlds, plus you get much more content. I agree there's a requirement for a one-stop resource for rubber. It's hard finding the right tyres for what you want. Good idea mate

Do you like the noise they make?
  3. Without wishing to sound pretentious, what qualifies you to score such things? Do you try them on track, around the same corners, on the same roads, do you have any way of measuring grip (lateral and under acceleration) and how will you measure braking performance? Also, would be a good idea to state how much water they displace in the wet. With tyres, it's very easy to score them once you've paid for them. Your opinion may well have changed 6000 miles down the road, though.
  4. Joking aside, that's a lot of car for the money.

  6. We need pics If it's clean and tidy, I'd say £7k would be fair.
  7. Is it a genuine kit mate?
  8. Well, I'm either going to be very VERY wrong, or laughing. I've got a bad feeling the RBR cars are going to surprise everyone, as well as Williams...
  9. Most cars in the USA are automatics
  10. Goodwood is very expensive for what you get, but the track is nice and fast. I'm a member of the GRRC... but I'm not doing the first sprint event because I missed the deadline. Do you need a race license for it or can you use a non-race national B? Sometimes they let you do that if you can prove you've driven on track in the last 24 months but they usually insist one of those tracks is Goodwood.
  11. You have three sets of OEM wheels, with three wheels in each set? Which one is missing in each set?
  12. Exactly, it's easy building a car for big numbers for a couple of miles. It's a whole different thing building a decent powered car that will last.
  13. I've just broken one of those mate thanks anyway.
  14. Anyone have a single kit lying around? Anything will be considered, although I'd prefer something fairly decent. It's just on the off-chance really, because I think I'll be going with a Whifbitz kit in the end.
  15. I thought it blew Avatar right out of the water.
  16. I hate the way it looks... it's very contrived IMO. The Aston is a better option for me.
  17. Friday is best IMO because that's when most people are at work, and all the cars are unveiled. However, the Sunday is good for racing and atmosphere. Saturday is just mental. If you're going to do the whole weekend, you'll easily be looking at spending over £1000.
  18. I'm paying over £100 per ticket, and I got invited It's worth every penny though, and then some.
  19. It's been common knowledge for a while, they were commissioned to build his lift for him a few years back. There was a documentary about his lifestyle which featured it. ...alas
