  1. Great idea. If this happens, and one of the 'tutors' agrees to work with me, I'll make sure a basic servicing guide gets printed in Toyota Performance Magazine with coverage of the event.
  2. Better quality wheels will be lighter and will be finished better, though. Agreed about Rotas, and Ultralites. I'm talking from experience
  3. Sounds like something I'm going to do Good luck mate, will be watching with interest.
  4. Poor quality manufacturing mate. Buy cheap = buy twice. The same rule extends to anything relating to Supras IMO

    Dwarves

I'll be needing proof of that! See you at Suprapod
  6. YB + 4*4? if so, why not the Audi 2.0-L? Subscribed
  7. Name and shame time now where's my lynching keyboard?
  8. Eat it and post the results up on here via Youtube.
  9. That's immaculate well done.
  10. Yes, dude and muffleman are both from AFR.
  11. AFR aren't too far from you mate
  12. I wasn't going to go to the one in September, but that hamster is just so convincing.
  13. If I was doing it all again I'd go for a Solaris ECU with the boost control bits installed (along with everything else). I'm using an AEM Tru-boost one now, and it does the job pretty well. Fits in a standard gauge pod too, so it keeps things neat. There are more comprehensive units out there though, I just wanted something simple. In one of my previous cars I used the Blitz SBC-ID and found that very good too.
  14. Even if you have no official recourse, the seller really shouldn't have sent the turbos without packaging them correctly. Either he couldn't be bothered, or he has no concept of how easily bits like this damage. I'd be asking for a full refund either way as they're useless to you for Suprapod.
  15. IMHO the best one is the HKS racing one. Doesn't sound quite the same as the SSQV (otherwise known as the canary on coke) and can even be plumbed back into the intake to further quieten it down... but it does a better job of relieving pressure on higher powered turbo cars. Not that performance should come into it, of course
  16. There's a guy with a Supra being built in Florida right now too. He might be worth a PM. EDIT: here he is http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=223525&highlight=titan
  17. Buying the right single turbo car is always going to be close to impossible. There are so many variations in spec between one car and the next. I'm an advocate for building the car yourself from a decent base. That way you learn the car and know the reasons behind each and every modification. Mine was stock when I imported it, and I love the car to bits. The Supra I had before wasn't stock when I bought it, and I spent most of my time trying to understand the work that had been done on the car. It didn't help that the seller blatantly lied to me, but that's another story
  18. Happy birthday Dom/Brian
  19. they ain't going to know what's hit 'em!
