  1. Mine's still working after over 10,000 fairly unsympathetic miles on a single.
  2. Stats: 8.8-L GM V8 packing over 3000BHP, estimated 240MPH terminal and quarter mile in 6.5 seconds - to start with. Meet Red Victor 3 I've seen the earlier Red Victor cars doing almost 200MPH in the quarter, but the latest iteration is even crazier than that... it's set to race in 2011 in the MSA Pro-modified drag series
  3. Doesn't matter if they're 'one-offs'... the fact these cars have been running well on UK roads for more than a year or two speaks volumes about the builds we're talking about. The good ones last, the bad ones end up broken. Longevity is the key with cars like this.
  4. I simply can't understand the investment this project has just received. If someone could explain it to me I'd be eternally thankful.
  5. Yeah, great summer here so far
  6. I have no idea what you mean! Please don't threaten me with legal action.
  7. Ah, I recognise that trader! Where does that name ring a bell?
  8. Having seen this car a few times up close this really is a well put together single. There are single Supras, and then there are good single Supras. This is one of the latter. The price reflects that IMHO.
  9. Yeah I'm sure it varies, but that's the general idea. It's immoral, but allowed. I had the misfortune to have to write about it a few weeks ago. Not good
  10. Lovely motor I'm very much looking forward to Pod!
  11. More like you turn up at their site - which is miles from your house - and then their engineers find 'faults' with your car which don't necessarily even exist and offer you a much lower price. They rely on people being so put out travelling that far that they accept, no questions answered. It's a known scam, but not illegal unfortunately.
  12. It's a massive scam as far as I'm concerned
  13. Yeah, the reason I'm asking is my wax does a similar job. Wasn't sure if this is in place of wax, or what?
  14. Lotus will be running its own race series with this car, and they're not exactly planning on selling millions so they're not bothered how suitable it is This is an exercise in engineering.
  15. How does using this differ from using a decent wax? I'm rubbish at all this cleaning stuff
  16. Five days to go, people! Looking forward to catching up with you all and of course meeting new faces
  17. I don't suppose this car is going to make it to Pod on Saturday...?
  18. As a massive generalisation: The Mondeo is the best car in the class. It's certainly the best all-rounder if you're looking at dynamics vs economy. People are automatically put off because of the early ones (the ones with duct tape on the bumpers) but the reality is they're brilliant cars.
  19. A Ford Mondeo is always a decent choice in the saloon market.
  20. I've heard car covers mean scratches on your paintwork as the wind moves them around? My mate had this issue with his RX7... I'm sure they're not all the same though.
