  1. Your link has an extra http:// Interesting though... he taught me how to drive my car properly
  2. It was revealed on here about three years ago
  3. *waits for Tannhauser's take on militant veganism*
  4. You'll be fine if you carry on reading on this site it takes quite a bit of abuse to kill a 2JZ-GTE if it's properly maintained.
  5. The thing is though mate it's flexible, so can be rolled up and will save a load on postage. I bet within two years you'll have paid more in maintaining a fibreglass one. That's from my own experience, but then I do quite a lot of mileage. If my car wasn't so low then I'd already have the MVP one.
  6. They'll last a lot longer though if you actually drive your car
  7. It's compressor stall, and yes, a BOV is sometimes known as a 'dump valve' Compressor stall is caused when the pressurised air in the turbo system tries to move back through the turbine vanes while they're still spinning when you come off the throttle. The vanes chop through the air, and that's the noise you can hear.
  8. It's not going to kill the turbo straight away, but it can cause other problems on high boost applications. I've heard of intercoolers having holes blown in them because of the pressure in the turbo system. The Supra in the video probably does have a BOV, but because the 2JZ engine flows so much air there are very few BOVs that can cope without a little bit of compressor stall. Mine does it and I'm not too bothered.
  9. In that case... Maybe, but this is from one of you lot: http://www.vegsoc.org.au/forum_messages.asp?Thread_ID=3454&Topic_ID=1 Who's the hippo now?
  10. AFAIK FG is a composite of glass fibres held together with adhesive, so if you heat it *gently* then it should work but it might not look very good...
  11. Well it makes a change from arguing about religion.
  12. Oh that's OK then. I thought it might be unreliable.
  13. ...and where did that 'quote' come from?
  14. Impossible to say what damage has been done, but I've seen cars written off for similar
  15. Mate, firstly you're talking about panel filters, not induction kits, and secondly K&N is probably the most widely used for motorsport in the UK, with a 1000000-mile warranty. Seriously, K&N will work as well - if not better - than the Apexi.
  16. Just buy a newer car and forget how to drive
  17. A K&N one will do exactly the same job... some may argue it'll do it better
  18. That's the thing with sand though isn't it? You just don't know if it contains animals. ...I mean it mite, or it mite not. Sorry
  19. Hey, I like sand. What can I say? Probably still tastes better than your average meal
  20. They told you they're enjoying it, did they? If you're saying what these people do is completely sane and acceptable then perhaps you should re-investigate your own position rather than telling me I should read more. I've done enough reading to entertain my own thoughts on the matter.
  21. FWIW, I'd eat a lizard if it tasted enough like chicken. It's part of my nature, and the reason I have such varied teeth There's cruelty to animals for no reason, and then there's cruelty to animals as part of a food chain. I wonder if there are any other animals who eat animals? Certainly. But are there animals who hurt other animals for fun? That's the difference.
