  1. Why single turbo? A TT V10 TDI would be nice for a few RPM
  2. Yeah, he needs a supercharger as well as the big twins he just bought for his VVTi. Do it Johnboy. You know it makes sense. Well it does in my head anyway.
  3. Big power NA or twin-charged.
  4. Yeah, but most people on here have turbos - hence if you go for bhp then you have capacity for far more willy-waving. Plus, if you're propping up a bar with your mates then stating the 'area under the curve' gets hard after five pints. Talking about horses however seems to come easily.
  5. Excuse me! I'm new to all this. It was only meant to be for work anyway, then all of a sudden it wasn't.
  6. I am, not sure about the other guy.
  7. You're right. There should be some sort of poll.
  8. Twitter update: eight followers now.
  9. I'm famous. I have seven followers on Twitter.
  10. I signed in using my years-old PH account and it still asked me for £15 for a premium ad. You can have a free ad for... well... free. Not a premium one though.
  11. Yeah exactly that mate. Very annoying. No-one know then?
  12. How did you do it? Or are you paying again each time?
  13. I tried that and it didn't work... I dropped the price and it didn't move.
  14. I have a for sale thread on PH and I was just trying to figure out how to 'bump' it to the top again. Certain unmentionable traders keep spamming their cars on there and mine is now a few pages back, which is quite annoying really. Can anyone help? I paid for this ad and I don't think many people are going to read it.
  15. It's been covered though - there's BPU, then you can add various bits to that like intercooler, cams, ECU or fuel controller, boost controller, then it's on to a single turbo conversion (or big twins if you have a huge budget) and then a built engine. You don't have to do it all in that order, but that's the generally accepted route.
  16. Have a search around the site and all will be revealed Many people who run serious power use uprated gearboxes. High-stall torque convertor Stock TC on the Supra is pretty much useless. If you need some decent traction control, get Racelogic or an ECU with it built in (Motec/Syvecs etc)
  17. I'm not picking on him - just stating that a single turbo conversion on a TT is different to turboing an NA. There is quite a large difference.
  18. Funnily enough I'm doing a case study for a publication I work for that *initially* suggests that insurance companies are charging more for TPF&T now. All the research done so far confirms it, but I can't say it's 100% the case. Try full comp and see how you get on.
