  1. Whatchootalkinboutwallis?
  2. I can't wait to hear m_life's reply to this thread
  3. People just take it too seriously. I use it primarily for ripping the badger out of my friends. It's good to keep up with people in other countries though. Cheaper than phone calls, anyway.
  4. Brilliant. http://aphrodite.chairmanlol.com/content/12190/resized/sign8_682162a.jpg?1267116095
  5. Also, would you recommend doing any other mods as well as the 'chip' to maximise performance? Air filter? Will the car be noiser after having the reflash?
  6. Dude, can you explain how you get better MPG as well as power/torque? Is it at the expense of emissions? Can you 'do' a Jaguar X-Type diesel?
  7. Not sure about the fan, but the thing that pulls cold air through the rad and into the engine bay looks a bit worse for wear. Jazz1 rat conversion?
  8. Would love one of these with some modern bits underneath. Can't justify that sort of outlay though.
  9. Any pictures of the Supra and the F40 together mate? Must be a brilliant day out
  10. I saw the same 850bhp car on the first and third pages on Thursday.
  11. I like The Tyre Shop. Does exactly what it says on the tin.
  12. They'd be the exceptions, as they chose to live in London. Middle class. If you know where to look and what to look for, you can buy property in more situations than most people realise right now. You'd need to save maybe £3k-£4kish for a deposit, but it can be done. I know, because I'm doing it as we speak.
  13. Nah not for me. I think it's a three-teir system still, with the lower class being the people claiming benefit and the middle being on the property ladder. Of course there are exceptions, but a basic three-teir system is still in effect IMO.
  14. Sounds to me like Britain's classes are becoming much more defined. Lower class = claiming benefits Middle class = paying a mortgage/owning a home Upper class = super rich How's that for a sweeping generalisation?
  15. I have to say, a turbo'd NA is a completely different car to a single turbo 2JZ-GTE.
  16. ...and don't want as much torque or care about resale value
  17. My dad had one that was terrible. He had real problems with the electrics, kept getting locked in the car for no reason (including once when I was driving the editor of Evo magazine somewhere - most embarrassing ) and also a weird fault with the car just switching off at random while driving. He also had a leaking rear shock which meant a square rear tyre and so a very bumpy ride. Loads of road noise, but it handles fairly well and has enough grunt for the chassis without being an under-steering handful like the RS. Sounds rubbish though, although a K&N panel filter will fix that.
  18. I love my job with a burning passion. I'm a motoring journalist, and to be frank it's all a bit of a dream to me. It took a lot of hard work to get here, but now it's really starting to pay off. I quit my previous (fairly well paid) job three years ago and since then I've been right on the breadline for the most part. It doesn't help when magazines you work for screw you over for freelance work by folding without paying you, but hey; I'm not bitter. Since wrestling my way into a big publishing house things are so much better. Everyday I'm learning something new and I'd like to think I'm becoming the consumate car geek... So much so that I try not to talk about cars with my friends as I know I can bore them to tears
  19. This bloke told me the other day that the CIA control gravity.
