  1. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. Also: http://www.plugincars.com/eight-rules-electric-vehicle-etiquette-127513.html
  2. They already have... Anyway, would you feel the same if they were offering to run your house's 'lecy while they were visiting?
  3. Trying thinking about electric car use in a different. Way. You wouldn't go to 'fill it up'. You'll keep it topped up whenever you can. Just like your young relatives' mobile phones.
  4. Chicken and egg... but it's happening as we speak. I spoke to a chap running a taxi firm with 21 Leafs the other day. He was saving huge money and his drivers were £100 per week better off. It's the charging infrastructure we're missing, but that's becoming really simple now too. We've got a free fast-charger going in at work very soon.
  5. Drive the Model S last week. Amazing thing. It re-writes a lot of the rules we've had to learn to accept about cars. It's properly quick, too. Bet a BPU TT would struggle with one. Electric vehicles are the future. It's only a matter of time
  6. It's all those naughty websites.
  7. Sorry to hear that. Group hug for Dave!
  8. Fancy elaborating for those who didn't know it?
  9. OT: why do you say Anglesey is harder than the 'Ring on brakes? Surely only if you lap continuously for longer than one tourist lap takes?

    NA-T kits

Craig should be an authorized trader with all this free advertising he gets on here
  11. Audi states its carbon-ceramic brakes last 183,000 miles, so I'd hope a weekend at the 'Ring would be easy! Nice idea but the cost would put me off. I used Endless carbon pads and UK brakes on mine and that stood up to incredible abuse without fade.

    Exhaust

Suppose you could always fit one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/N1-STYLE-3-INLET-STAINLESS-STEEL-TITANIUM-BURNT-TIP-MUFFLER-EXHAUST-SILENCER-/301664330825

    Exhaust

That happens because the exhaust is titanium.
  14. I wouldn't drive it far like that, and I wouldn't get it repaired either. I'm sure many will say it's fixable, but I'm not in the business of taking risks with something that important.
  15. I was thinking along those lines. Mmmmm cake. BUT: http://www.dert2015.co.uk/
  16. Get the Focus. It'll be reliable, cheap to run (with the cheapest spare parts too) and it drives better than a Golf or Astra. No-brainer!

    Yours might not. Yet.
