  1. Yeah but you're still talking HUGE £££s to take anything close to big Supra power, and I'd question the reliability too. That's just me though, if I had a 'box like that I'd want it perfect, and to shift like a stock car does for many thousands of miles. If you're going to do it, do it properly and do it once
  2. If I do I'll rest safe in the knowledge that by not claiming, I'm not pushing up our premiums just because everyone else thinks it's OK. Or I'll just have a baguette instead.
  3. Well yeah, claiming compensation because you can rather than because you actually NEED it (read: don't work for a bank and drive a big expensive car around) are two different things IMO.
  4. What about the bearings in the wheels?
  5. I found a skiing accident when it wasn't expected. You didn't check your food before putting it in your mouth. Swings and roundabouts mate.
  6. Carry on ellis. UNLEASH THE FURY.
  7. Mate, I fractured two vertibrae in a skiing accident whilst teaching and didn't claim. I lost a LOT of money and 18 months of my working career because of that. I've broken more bones than I can count and have never claimed. In fact, I was in a head-on car crash a few weeks ago and didn't claim. Sorry, that arguement doesn't wash with me.
  8. Just for the record, ellis has it spot on IMO. My post was in jest, I didn't think you'd take it seriously The culture around personal claims is ruining our economy. For instance, it's the single biggest reason our insurance costs so much.
  9. Because most of the decent DSG 'boxes can't handle big torque
  10. Your best budget option is to fit some second-hand turbos and run them at acceptable (1.0 bar IMO) boost until you can afford to upgrade further.
  11. Read this and all will be revealed http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=96560&highlight=water+injection
  12. True, but the OP himself has mentioned the words '3.4-litre stroker' so I'm guessing 'different' in his case means 'money no object'. Gazoo Racing have an IS-F with an LF-A engine in it... would probably cost between £50k-£100k to get it working in a Supra but there wouldn't be a better sounding Supra on earth.
  13. Quad rotor 26b. Or the LF-A V10.
  14. That'll be quick... for a while
  15. Yup, some post editing is in order I'd go for the T61 too.
  16. Ooooh my bad didn't see his was NA-T. That changes things somewhat.
  17. Ignore me, I didn't read the first post. 550cc should be fine.
  18. 550cc injectors on a T61 would be a nice setup.
  19. Have you replaced the dizzy? The door thing makes me think it's electrical, like a bad connection somewhere. I take it this is your NA?
  20. It'll be around 200bhp... I hear the 4WD Subaru version will get a turbo motor to start with though. The car pictured in this thread isn't the FT-86, rather a tuned version of it by Gazoo Racing (Toyota's racing partner in Japan). It's called the G-Sports concept (not G-spot concept)
  21. I quite like the idea... it'll be mounted nice and low for a decent weight distribution. Easy to turbo, too
