Anyone else seriously bemused by the whole idea of 'Black Friday' being rammed down our throats? I am. IMO it brings out some of the worst of consumerist society - piling high cheap tat that doesn't sell on normal days, and fooling people into parting with their often much-needed cash because they think they can't resist a bargain. Think about it: there's a reason this crap doesn't sell in normal retail...

If you bought a bed and the headboard came off five years later, would you expect a replacement? I wouldn't. I'd say there's a time limit on anything remaining 'fit for purpose' these days.

Sub-£30k? Not a chance. New platform... that'll be at least double, and it won't be as well-built or reliable as a Porsche. I'd still take my RWD F-Type R Coupe.

That's a crucial question IMO. I wouldn't touch a car with a BMW 'box if I were buying again.

'Stroked'... stroking an engine is just a way of increasing displacement by using different-sized internal components. It doesn't assume any particular material, though I'd start with a metal rather than, say, cardboard.

I've done loads. It's a good way to teach you how to hold a slide, but it doesn't teach you much about how the rear end breaks traction. A day on a track will teach you more, IMO.

It's nothing to do with the URL. Using another firm's name might be problematic though if you're offering the same service and it's registered/trademarked.
