  1. The engine is in the right place though - Porsche went on record saying the only reason it didn't do a turbo Cayman was that it couldn't have anything beating its 'flagship' 911. The Cayman is the better car IMHO - the engines just aren't exciting enough.
  2. Can't argue with German engineering! I'll tell you what though - if I had the inclination to play with a Porsche there's only one car I'd want: a Cayman with a turbo engine. The poise in that chassis has to be experienced to be believed... preferably sideways around a quick corner in third+. The Cayman S was the best car I drove in 2010.
  3. Makes sense. There are some impressive packages out there for the GT3 too - that might make a better base for big power? My main reservation with the turbo is its a great tourer, but I am not sure its raw enough for the sort of car you'll end up hankering for
  4. Not tempted with the GT2 Jamie? That's the real man's car... it'll put hairs on your chest if you can stay alive long enough
  5. I loved my RPS street max carbon. Handled a lot of abuse on my single
  6. I'll keep an eye out for more.
  7. Attached is the only one available on the press photo site all the publications use these days. IIRC most of the pics were taken by the publications.
  8. This is confusing - just buy it back Shame
  9. It was indeed removed because you can't sell items in this section. You have to post in the 'For Sale' section of the site. Welcome though what makes you want 500bhp?
  10. Yep - I'm lucky in that I should be able to fund 2011 on the remainder of the cash from the sale of my Supra, but I'll be looking to arrange something ASAP.
  11. One day I'll have another Supra. I hold them in such high regard - there really isn't another car out there like it. However, for the spec I'd want I'd need at least £20k to buy one out-right and around £70k to build one. Then I'd need a race series to make all that worth while, so things are just not stacking up in that respect at the moment. I've nearly bought several now, but luckily I've taken the plunge and bought a real racer instead. That mammoth catalogue is interesting, but I can't help thinking it'd be cheaper elsewhere. Sponsorship is something I'm going to look at, because last night the website that published my blog agreed to continue following my exploits as things move forwards. Hence - instant publicity to thousands of petrolheads each week for the company names on my car
  12. I was thinking of doing exactly that There must be cheaper places than Demon Tweeks surely? They seem amazingly expensive.
  13. Well, here she is. My new car. It looks slightly different now (pic was taken two years ago) but apart from some seatbelts it's on the button and ready to go racing. Anyone have any suggestions for the cheapest places to get good quality racing clothing and helmets?
  14. I heard on the news yesterday you have to check the small print of your travel insurance policy. Some do, some don't.
  15. Did you manage all the big words?
  16. I don't know a lot about this racing lark
  17. Nice just one thing though: last time I checked, Playboy has rabbits first. The pussy comes later.
  18. Get into John Lewis and try them out - they have 'testers' in store so you can try the weighting and handle design
  19. I'm using these at present and I'm very happy with them. They're ridiculously sharp (which is fortunate I suppose) and I find the handle ergonomically spot-on. However, knives are quite a personal thing so I'd suggest test-driving some to see which feel best in your hand when doing a 'cutting' motion. Beware: buying kitchen knives is a VERY manly activity. You may find yourself having to light a fire, build a garage and then make the wife pregnant once you're home.
