  1. Winter tyres are usually designed to work in temperatures below 7 degrees centigrade... if you use them in summer they'll wear out much quicker.
  2. dave finch - please cut out the txt spk. It isn't allowed on this forum. Cheers
  3. Title changed so people know what your query is.
  4. Well I can see how it could be taken the wrong way
  5. Oh nothing about Paul's business - he's doing very well. I was talking about making your car unique
  6. That's the problem with successful businesses. If you want to be unique go for a rubbish trader like Turbofit?
  7. I liked TTC. I found it better than the sequential setup for everyday driving. Better MPG and a more predictable power curve so easier to launch and modulate throttle inputs through corners. I did have mine mapped though, and that's essential to get to best from it. On the other hand, it is noisier and it is obviously more laggy, but I've also seen slightly better power figures from TTC.
  8. I've moved your thread out of technical as it's not technical and you'll get more answers in Supra Chat. I've also changed your thread title to something descriptive to help you get the answers you need and to help others out when searching.
  9. Erm... there are several more effective ways to improve the efficiency of the Supra before you start looking at this. Brake energy regeneration and aerodynamic tweaks coupled with lower rolling-resistance tyres would make a significantly bigger difference. This tech isn't very effective on older, more crude cars like the Supra.
  10. Ha! Awesome. I want that. Great value too.
  11. I've changed your thread title to something more descriptive to make it easier for other members to search for this thread in the future. If you have a spurious title then no-one will be able to find your thread, and that doesn't help anyone
  12. You'll need a definite USP Jamsey, and clear evidence that your investors will see a quantifiable return.
  13. The reason Autotrader doesn't need to franchise itself out is that you can filter the search results by various proximities from your postcode, making it as local as you want it to be all the time. Pistonheads survives because of the type of cars listed on there, the way the 'classifieds' section is laid out and the forum activity to prop it up.
  14. I liked Chris Wilson's ones, and really enjoyed the Endless CCX/R too.
  15. Long enough. Usually I find that if something stupid is going to happen, it'll happen to me. I'm quite used to it. Don't ask how I ended my career as a ski instructor His car control is god-like. Unbelievable TBH.
  16. Ben Collins was in my passenger seat doing some driver training. Mid-drift, hand came off the wheel and smacked the screen extremely hard due to the tension in my body (we were travelling quite quickly at the time and I was concentrating). Huge crack instantly appeared across whole screen before 'spidering' out. He said that's the first time he's ever heard about it happening. Bit of a freak incident TBH - trust me to be the culprit
  17. I've moved this to the 'technical' section rather than the ICE one and changed your title so it's easier to search for in the future.
  18. I smashed my windscreen with my hand while driving once.
  19. Mate - that's terrible. Sorry to hear that. As Chris says, try and salvage something from the best GT-R in the country. How about an LS9 and RWD conversion or similar? You could use the Sumo GT1 cars for inspiration?
