  1. Well, it's right in front of me, works every time for all web pages that I use, doesn't do anything intrusive and TBH it just works. I read this article when it was first published, and if I'm being brutally honest it says more about BBC Online editorial policy and its readership than it does about what browser you prefer.
  2. I use IE - and what's more it's better than Firefox and Chrome for what I do.
  3. Careful Chris. Adventures at night time like that often carry a sting in the tail.
  4. I'm quite happy with the Blackberry Torch. Seems to do everything I need it to do better than my iPod touch, which is all I need to know about iPhones.
  5. If she's young and insurance is a concern on a 1.6 MX-5, don't you think mentioning that before would have been an idea? If she's stuggling to insure a Ka then there isn't much hope!
  6. MX5 every time. You also get the bonus that she (might) learn to drive properly too
  7. They're two very different things
  8. You mean compressor stall?
  9. Hopefully that isn't true, because if you were trading on this forum you'd need to become an authorised trader, wouldn't you?
  10. The language on the forum was a lot worse back then
  11. A read of this thread should sort you right out: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?63460-FSE-fuel-pressure-regulator-(Power-boost-valve)-The-facts...&highlight=FSE
  12. Do a search on here. Been covered loads of times. They're not good news.
  13. That's cool - and for the purposes of this discussion I'd be going with what Toyota states. It made the car, after all and I don't blame you for not believing me - I know nothing
  14. I've just wasted half an hour of my life looking for a thread with no success, so unfortunately I can't back up what I said right now. I might try again later. I didn't say it *will* do damage though, just that the way I see it it's more likely to if something is already wrong, compared to going for a slow run to drive down engine temps after a hard ragging, as the coolant system isn't working at its optimum when the car is sat still. What I believe I've done is confuse this matter more than I should have
  15. There's still no way I'd leave it idling for two minutes
  16. You're telling me that Toyota tells you to sit the car idling stationary for two minutes instead of cooling it down properly? I very much doubt that... It'll be far more efficient to cool the oil down using a slow run than it would to have a hot car sitting idle and soaking heat into the system. I understand you don't want to switch the car off right after a hard run so you don't starve the bearings in the turbos of oil, but I'd never leave a car running at idle for longer than is necessary.
  17. The turbos spool down? I don't get what you mean. Having a car stood still with the engine running is never a good move - it's actually more likely to do damage. The car needs to be moving to make the best use of the cooling system. The only time a turbo timer will do a jot of good for your car is if you rag the balls off it and then turn it off and walk away. It's always better to just drive it slowly for a minute or two and then park up and turn it off as normal. If that wasn't the case, don't you think every manufacturer-built turbocharged car would have a turbo timer?
  18. Bump - I'll pay £1500 for a manual Supra
  19. I can't tell you how much I'd like this car. Very nice indeed, but it would mean me selling several assets and body parts. Good luck selling it
  20. I had a good look around it at Goodwood this year and came away totally unimpressed I *love* the Zonda, and so perhaps was expecting something a bit more hardcore. It's OK, but if it were me I'd not have one.
  21. I think Skylines are more aggressive-looking than Supras. One of the primary reasons I didn't buy one.
  22. Now call me old-fashioned but I'm struggling to understand why you'd want to make one of the best-looking cars ever to come out of Japan look 'aggressive'. Most have more power than 95% of other cars on the road (NAs being the exception to that rule ), and need to prove nothing. TBH this strikes me as a touch of over-compensation, and for that reason, I'm out.
  23. You can do it yourself by clicking 'edit post' and then 'go advanced'
  24. Get rid of the turbo timer. It does nothing anyway. Just cool the car down by driving slowly for the last part of your journey. Much better for the car.
