    Well you buy chunks of the property back when funds allow. You may get a mortgage on 25% of the property for instance, then buy back chunks from the housing association in say 12.5% blocks, extending your mortgage each time if you can't pay outright.

    You'd be absolutely mad to buy a £250k place as a starter home though, surely. Shared ownership is still a LOT cheaper than renting outright.

    I bought a place a year ago on a mortgage and I'm paying significantly less per month than I would by renting the same sort of place. I'm also putting money into my mortgage rather than throwing it away. Remind me how I'm missing out again?

    From memory it is on that side, but to be honest it has been a long while since I've had cause to look. I know the resistor pack is over there too (near the suspension strut?). Think you need one of those EPC diagrams to identify the ignition system components mate.

    It isn't willy-waving, it's telling a member who has been on this site for nine years how to post a new thread. Anyway, have you checked the ignitor pack and the relevant connections? IIRC that's the only bit really left.

    MR2s are not great at drifting. Like you say, the engine being at the back means the slides aren't progressive or easy to control. Basically, you're either cornering or you're facing the wrong way. Or you're in a hedge. It won't be so bad if you're on an open space like an airfield, but trying to nail a drift on a track in an MR2 will drive you mental.
