  1. What a hideously unattractive abortion of a 'modified' car.
  2. We're looking into it.
  3. Happy birthday you massive orange nimrod.
  4. I wouldn't worry in that case mate. You'll be able to tell if it's working properly because you won't get that pigeon noise when you change gear, you'll get a 'tweet' instead.
  5. It depends really. A lot of people don't even bother with a BOV, but others have one set precisely to try and minimise compressor stall. There are two very different view-points on which way is best, and a lot of the time people actually decide what to do depending on whatever sound they prefer I've also heard of cars running no BOV blowing holes in intercoolers and blowing pipes off, but never seen it myself. There's certainly no exact science you have to implement, but I guess if you set it right you'll be happy it's doing its job. Which HKS one do you have? The Racing SSQV? If so then you can vent off enough pressure to stop compressor stall, but with the normal SSQV I don't believe they flow enough air to totally prevent it anyway. I certainly had a lot in my old single running a normal SSQV at 1.45 BAR.
  6. Title adjusted so people can search for this thread
  7. It's for adjusting the pressure the BOV opens at.
  8. It isn't about how well they work once, it's about how they cope with repeated use. The bigger brakes disperse heat more effectively, meaning less brake fade and it's harder to boil the fluid. If you ever take your car on track and use it properly you'll find out very quickly why J-spec brakes aren't brilliant at hauling such a car down from high speeds. The UK ones are excellent value for money and I'd fit them at BPU, let alone at 700bhp.

Welcome. You'll love having a reliable car
  10. No, because TTs are quicker when it's cold
  11. I'd dump the Bentley as it won't feel as special as a weekend-only car. Of the Ferraris I'd have the 355... it's still one of the best unadulterated chassis' out there and will make you smile every time you drive it. The Supra is the cheapest to run, but also has the capacity to be the fastest by a mile... but then without the grin factor of a nice Fezza V8. Would you take any other suggestions?
  12. Welcome sounds like an interesting set of cars you've got there. You'll love the mkiv Supra.
  13. Brian James is the way to go if you ask me.
  14. I think a hell of a lot of it is how you present yourself. If your car is clean, doesn't look too much like this, isn't too loud and isn't driven like then you should be OK.
  15. OK Christmas bump for this one as language is on the slide again. Remember folks, even putting punctuation in place of some letters in a word won't do if we can still tell when the word is. Rules is rules, and we'll be infracting people if they can't converse without some type of swearing
  16. Our team was just given the mother of all Christmas bonuses. And by 'Christmas bonus' I mean 'kick in the face'.
