  3. Thanks mate. Sounds a fair fee too WIll mull it over and give you a ring later in the week. Might see if I can up the budget a bit
  4. Oh dear Not so promising after all Can you elaborate a bit please mate?? I have spoken to Jurgen in the recent past as I very nearly bought a car off him but I had about £7k ++ more in my budget for the car then. He seems a very reliable and decent bloke and I would definately buy off him but personal import will save me the ££ to mean I can get a good spec manual 6 speed which is why I have to take that route unfortunately..... or I would buy through him without hesitation.
  5. Thanks guys...... This is what Im after .....Have you dealt with this place personally or how do you know they are so good if you dont mind me asking? TIA
  6. ok guys and gals Can anyone point me in the direction of any reliable tried and tested agents in Japan who can go the the acution on my behalf...vire the car....do the deal etc etc Reason I ask is that due to just buying a new house and some other stuff going on my budget has dropped from the very comfy UK TT manual level (single turbo hopefully) it was at... Now Im looking at the 8k marker (maybe a bit more ) and I must have a manual for my plans for the car initially (1/4m) and as I prefer them The only way I can do this really is a direct import so Im probing for info here before I start ringing around "over there" so to speak THANKS IN ADVANCE
  7. Sorry Voo I was going to go till I saw the weather was rubbish and most people seemed to have packed the idea in off here??! Thought Id wait out till Ive got my motor sorted for the next one
  8. Wierd. The guy who NAS crashed into drinks in one of my locals (Im a sheffield geezer) and i feel sorry for teh poor sod. hes only 34 I think and he said his arm is totally fcuk'd and both his legs are knackered though he can limp about on crutches..... Ruined his life. To think. That fool Nas could have crashed into anyones Mum or Sister/brother etc. 15months is never long enough. That guys life is ruined. 10 years (to serve 5) and a lifetime driving BAN. i feel would be more just>>
  9. oh No Sorry to hear this mate. RobSheffield can no longer make it either so it looks like I will be coming over on my todd Is this meet still happening guys?? Can someone confirm there will be people there still>>> TIA
  10. Any rooom for me guys Im not a soopra owner yet (M3 that Im selling at the moment) but thats why I wanna come....because Im buying one in the next month or so Im from Sheffield so please let me know if any one else heads over from that way. Cheers
  11. Thanks mate Emptied my pm box and sent you a brief one..... Please try again. Cheers
  12. Unfortuantely it looks like it may be too deep mate..... I've done a fair few bodywork repairs and a general rule of thunmb I have is if you draw your finger nail across the path of the scratch >>> if it digs into a noticeable "rut" then it is normally beyond scratch repair techniques... You could always try some farecla compound on it with a pro polisher but IMO it may well need the panel spraying professionally Scumbags....hangings too good for em
  13. ok guys. Im back in the market for a supra after a recent life "problem" prevented me from purchasing one about 3 months ago when I was planning to. but now Im back on the case 100% As a result I've got my current car to sell ('99 BMW M3! :/) and then on to the hunt for a nice import manual Supra TT. (plus cash on top of course) I plan on buying in the next 2 months but I'm wondering if any of you South Yorkshire (Sheffield to be exact) guys are having another meet (I saw I missed one!) or would mind showing me your car so I can 1/ whet my appetite so to speak 2/ Hopefully be shown things to look for when Im on the buying trail 3/ See the car run as Ive never been in a TT Supra 4/ Make some South Yorks Supra contacts..... Please let me know if anyone can or knows of a meet coming up Many Thanks
  14. I thought as much The good old second hand market!! WHat do you reckon much less is?? Say £2k or ??
  15. Aahh..great stuff thanks. That seals my decision for a manual pretty much! That said, is it common that people drop out the auto box and replace it with a manual?? Any articles on this? Awww....typical!!
  16. Wow Thanks guys....I love this forum already Some really insightful information there thanks.. My budget is £10-15k +/- a bit depending on the car. I would prefer it if the car has had some valuable/useful modifications done already....so a single turbo Jap import manual would be perfect have searched the forum and read the excellent FAQs / docs on the home page of this site...so will try and keep questions useful!! Which transmission is best for 1/4 mileing as I will be doing the odd weekend as well as road use.... the manual or auto out of interest? and can either of them take more power than the other? Reason I ask is the americans seem to get staggering power out of these cars sometimes with a stock transmission and I am keen to know your experiences.... Cheers Jurgen...will pm you mate
  17. Im just in the process of buying a TT supra and Im seeking some experienced advice on the best year to buy if there is one?? if so why! I'm currently very interested in 1996 Toyota Supra RZ TT...Is this a decent choice to make? Also,is there any good places for tuning these cars near Sheffield? I will be doing the vast majority of work myself as I have done a good amount of car tuning and engine building in the past but an expert on this type of car in the local vicinity would be very useful indeed!! All advice greatly appreciated! Also, are these cars still very stealable?? I didnt think they would be as they are getting older nowadays but I have just seen the post about the poor guy who had his new supra stolen I can feel mutiple security measures coming on
