  1. Sorry, just checked. THe one I have is 89661-14660 which I believe is the Pre vvti jspec ecu :/
  2. Whats the part number for this guys? I may have one on the shelf
  3. Ive got two machine mart ones, one mega heavy duty one and a lighter duty one. Both worked perfectly well. I never had a problem rotating a 2jz fully dressed engine on either stand. If youve got the storage space the U shape legs one is mega stout
  4. I think that petrol stations may start at closing at a tipping point or start repurposing as mass charging stations. Could petrol prices increase as electric cars grow in number.. I wonder what the gov will do about shortfall in tax from fuel sales over the years too
  5. Sorry for your loss. I would be interested in this as a genuine supra nut. Dont let a trader on here rip you off for buttons. They will just readvertise it for a load more. Email me on bimmerforums1@ gmail.com I think some peoples valuations are a bit dreamy though, the car has a lot of unknowns
  6. Looking around for a project car again. Came across this one..... 50k for an Auto supra, 19k miles alleged. Dreamers https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1995-N-TOYOTA-SUPRA-3-0-TURBO-3D-AUTO-326-BHP/274153891480?_trkparms=aid%3D1110001%26algo%3DSPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3D9d315229716846679bd2d2ed672ff005%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dco%26sd%3D283740141110%26itm%3D274153891480%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
  7. Manual and auto ECUs are different. I just sold a SARD which is essentially the same but the auto version for £350 but that was cheap. A lot of auto ecus out there have issues now and it shows up as problems with the auto box or any other manner of weird faults.
  8. Until it gets to a corner at speed going on past Corvettes handling..!
  9. Its a bit awkward to get to but is removable no worries . You won't get enough slack by just removing the bolts and will probably damage something. Just remove it and as mentioned use an allen key to lock it, then rebolt it on
  10. I dont see any benefit to using electric. The micro power loss from a viscous is probably offset by its cooling abilities anyway. My electric fans used to be hammering away in traffic and we hardly get hot weather over here. I cant see how people in Florida manage with them!
  11. I had electric twin spals and the cooling was crap compared to the OEM viscous fan. For my next build I will use OEM viscous and OEM shroud, and a good race radiator. Others views may differ! Also, I had a fan relay issue and only noticed when my temps shot through the roof in traffic, this would not happen with the viscous as its mechanically driven
  12. Labour is always a strong part of the bill in a proper engine build. If you do any head work etc, valves cams the price soon balloons
  13. Its a supposedly freshly rebuilt engine. Using an oil sludger is not the answer 100%.... you need a supra specialist to get to the bottom of whats been done (wrong)

    RMS Leak

I would be wanting money back from this 'mechanic' and taking it to someone who knew how to check a crank before trying to rebuild the engine. There is a difference between a mechanic and a good engine builder from my experience, if it is a genuine Toyota seal, and its located correctly (fully in), as absz states, get the crank end float checked etc If I was you I would cut your losses and take it to someone who is known to be experienced with supras. It could save you (more) time and money in the long run.
  15. Yeah, Im reliably informed they are quite easy to bend in a crash, the cracked windscreen is a bad sign lol . As is the twisted strut brace. Im sure it would be fixable (to a degree anway)... whether anyone would want to own it is another matter..!
  16. https://www.carwow.co.uk/guides/choosing/what-is-a-cat-c-or-cat-d-car Cat S includes a bent chassis?! Next step would be a Cat B I guess
  17. Yes, lot of time as well. I did warn the guy who bought it to go steady for a while , clearly he couldnt drive very well Another member on here sent me pictures of when he binned it on the M6 at speed. Its on fb if you search for 'supra m6 rip' or similiar. Currently keeping my eye out for any new supra project lol as I miss the car, will be manual this time though Is it just me or is the NS windscreen all cracked at the bottom? . Cat S is the new Cat C isnt it? Not sure what makes a car cat B, but I think its when you can still salvage engine and drivetrain but the rest is scrap
  18. Yes it was my old car Sad to see it go that way.... many hours, wasted lol Yep it had refreshed engine, Arp hardware, fuel system, all new brake lines and goodridge hoses , new UK calipers, refurbed underneath properly, single conversion, Titan stage 2 auto, Link standalone, and those Siena advan 2 wheels which I loved I dont think £22k is far off at all had it not been crashed. It was much cleaner than a lot of cars and had 000's spent on it over the years I had it and sorted it.
  19. I don't think prices are topping out. Just look at Escort Cosworths, Sierra cosworth 3 doors, even escort Mk1s. But I think thats steep for that mileage, at this moment in time. The 5k plus profit they probably have in it; well some people want to view a car before that kind of outgoing so the premium may be worth it for some.
  20. £450 each? I would check that again on blackcircle. Pics and spec will help a lot like Hemanhead says
  21. I would say Greg Gush aka Pro Tuner in Coventry. Not too far away and top drawer tuner and guy in my experience.
