  1. Wow that's a new one on me. Returbed all my suspension 9 years ago with R2R bushes but the ball joints do sit in the back of my mind. PM probably inbound in the near future
  2. Not sure what you mean by "bucket seats". Use the search mate there are literally hundreds of topics on Supra seats, seat rails and retro fits. All sorts have been retro fitted over the years. If I wasn't 18 stone, 6ft2 and in my 50s I would have gone for OE style Recaros
  3. Blimey a grand for the full set up. I have just fallen off my chair reading this thread. I paid £190 for everything back in the day. People who fitted naff FMICs were getting rid all the time. Is a grand really the going rate? I'm going to have to wrap the car up in cotton wool at this rate
  4. Got mine from Opie earlier in the year for my VVTI. Good price as well. There is only one fitted to the VVTI?
  5. Yea still in Plymouth buddy. Work is so busy I don't tend to get to meets. Car is still doing well but after 10 years I want to semi retire her and bring her out as a play thing rather than a commuter. If this Chinese flu is killed off it would be good to catch up. Are you still doing bits and bobs through your own company? Cheers Jon

    TT Springs

Yea I have a set of springs off my TT way back not sure if they are OE or lowering. I think they are OE. Message me your mobile and I will whatapp some pictures. Cheers Jon

    TT Springs

Ok will look in the morning. I know I had a set at one point. I will let you know tomorrow

    TT Springs

Do you mean original TT not lowering springs? If so I might have a set of OE TT springs. I would have to look.
  9. My selector is playing up a little between Neutral and reverse (sometimes sticks and I have to use the maintenance button). It's not the gearbox thank goodness. I will contact Keron but I don't suppose anyone has a Tiptronic gear selector hanging around do they. Thanks. Jon
  10. Just jumping in on this. I think.at the Sups age now along with BPU or large power gains the suspension should be rebuilt. Even the newest car will be 18 years old. The rubber bushes will be toast. My BPU Sup is really pretty solid in the corners. I rebuilt the suspension 7 or 8 years ago. I'm only running on Bilsteins as well and the tale is pretty good as long you control the turbos with your foot. Also prefer Tiptronic at my age
  11. Nice to know your still here mate:grouphug:
  12. Not overly active but still here with a Sup:salute:
  13. I'm no body work expert but if pulled out properly and worked correctly most ( I will admit not all repairs) repairs will put back in the crash strength and crumple zones. The man hour costs can be large mind.!!

    O2 sensors

Just for closure the sensor that Opie fuels sell is a direct replacement for the VVTI single sensor so all good. Car is much happier now and not running rich. Thanks everyone for your help and guidance. Probably half the price of Mr T if they did stock them as well:D
  15. Good news. We write quality cars off far too early in this country. The tech out there now means s lot more could be repaired and saved. Nice one. Still watching with interest
  16. Good luck to Tom's. A bit of Supra history right there. If I can decipher Japanese I will put some money in. Thanks to the OP for posting
  17. Wow just read through the topic. In this country most would write that baby off. Good to see someone trying to keep it on the road. I suppose US prices make it worth it:blink:. That rail took a right hammering but I suppose ultimately did it's job. Hope it straightens up ok. Good luck and keep us updated. Shame the previous owner could handle the extra horses but I suppose it could be your gain.
  18. I copied Jays idea using Merc AMG paddles. I mounted mine on a Gen 6 Celica steering wheel. If memory serves me right it was dead easy to do but they were only 2 wire paddles. Jay has already posted and is knowledgeable with this. It's so long ago I will have to look back.

    O2 sensors

Thanks mate So according to this they are all the same? I think I will order one, fit it, test it and see what it does. It can't be any worse then the one on there

    O2 sensors

Thanks everyone I didn't realise it was a well covered topic even though I did Google.. I can get pre VVTI from Denso or Opie but the VVTI unit is flanged on a 2 X bolt flange not a screw in. Apart from this are the O2 sensors compatible if I get a 4 wire as per above. I can re engineer the flange with a screw in fitting if needed. Cheers Jon

    O2 sensors

I went to Mr T yesterday to pick up a new O2 sensor for my Sup as mine is fubared and they dont stock them anymore:blink: I'm after the VVTI version 89465-19725 but the only one I can find is on Aliexpress but they wont deliver to the UK (not sure if its because of the virus). Has anyone found someone who supplies these or an alternative? I thought if I was going to be in lock down i would get all the parts together so I can work on my cars in peace:innocent: I will dip mine in lemon juice overnight to see if it brings it back for the short term. Thanks in advance for anybodies guidance:clap:
  22. As the title really. Looks like E10 petrol coming in next year. Higher ethanol content Will the Sup systems cope with this as I have heard it is really corrosive and eats seals for dinner. Europeans have been using it for a while but has anyone got any experience with it?
  23. Oh dear:blink: The good things is that the club gets in the forefront for the Supra which can only be a good thing and the interior. But:- Bolting on a big wing, wide body kit and wrapping it is just Aahhh! People were doing that during the original F&F films. The cars need sooo much more than that to make the prices they were talking about.. I did laugh at the squat cat fish jibe. Well if you don't like it, don't buy it. Not so sure abouth their criticism of the stock cars out there. If they knew the marque they would know there are very few actual stock cars. The scripting and actual work on the car was minimal by Goblin works. I do watch the program and they are trying for an identity but they are not achieving one. I know it's quite a few levels above what this production team do but Foose always gets it right with quality cars. I would be surprised if there was a 3rd series Those blades will never pass a British MOT so why fit them. Again Discovery channel were doing that with American Chopper 20-15 years ago. Fully understand these things are for TV and to all who put the work in well done it's an advert for MKIV Sup and the club but surely it would have been better spending £20K on improving horses, suspension etc then a tasteful "Goblin style" body make over. Not for me I'm afraid and a little underwhelmed at the final product.
  24. Definitely would be interested in this. Always thought it would be good to see who the owners in Japan were. I didn't think carVX did previous owners though
