well its just whats on there at the mo, so didnt really think of trying anything else lol, but everywhere in lowestoft cant even get hold of 275 anythings in 17's they look at me confused and go and look at my tyres to check iv said right thing lol

well i ony started i new 1 coz , just fort more people would see this than if i just started mentioning it at the bottom of my other post. Nah i hant got any clearance issues at all, as its completely standard, but i was just looking for same size as what was on there already, but nowhere that iv askd can get hold of 275-17's whether its 35 or 40's

Just wondered if any1 else is using this size tyres? and if they have trouble trying to get them? as everywhere iv asked dont do them and cant give me prices for them either.

Well iv owned the car since Feb. time i think without looking at my paperwork, and iv loved every minute with this car! Its never let me down or given my any troubles and i dont really want to get rid of it, its just that i dont really get to use it enough to justify keeping it. [sAD][/sAD] Its done just over 90k, about 4-5k of them iv done in the time that iv owned it, and i think about 8k ago it had the cambelt changed. Its got MOT till August, TAX till end of April, regular oil changes. Body work is in very good condition for a 12 year old car and the inside is just as good, apart from wear on the steeringwheel and gearknob. Its pretty standard apart from a 4" Racing exhaust which isnt too loud, but sounds sweet when gaining speed, an induction kit (not sure which make as it was on car when i bought it), 17" Work alloys, and a Kenwood headunit with 10disc changer. All the usual refinements like Electric windows/mirrors/seats, Air-con, Climate control, Half leather interior, Remote central locking, Cat1 alarm/immobiliser. £4995.

grrr, iv just tried mytyres.co.uk and they dont do that tyre size either :-/

ok cheers guys, iv just been goin round the tyres co's around town and no1 can get hold of the rear tyre size i need, im after 275-35-17 but every place iv been to wanted to check the wheels to make sure id got the size right, these arent that odd sized are they?

Any1 know any good places to look online for tyres (cheapish sites) Cheers rob

ahh ok then mate, cheers for clearing that 1 up for me, wot oil rating is best to use?

Just a quick question.... where the oil lights are, youve got the red oil light and the orange 1, wot does the orange 1 mean if it flicks on and off occassionally? i take it the red 1 is if the oils getting low but the orange 1 flicks on not very often just want to know what it means. Cheers Rob

Ok Cradiffsupra if i get a chance il have a go for ya. Matt- i did the yaris coz it was a car that redline magazine was having a competition for, u had to design a yaris which was going to be rear engined with an mr2 turbo engine etc, and the winning design/designs got made as the next redline project car.

Matt- im not sure where u can get it from, luckily my mate had it on disc so i quickly put it on my comp b4 he realised lol. leelbuk- its just a matter of keep trying and trying, but iv got along way to go yet to get half as good as alot of ppl that do them. mk47- y wot u got in mind mate?

yeh their the how my locking nuts look (sort of) and the non locking 1's have a hexagon shape inside.

i dont know how to explain mine really, but they are set in, so instead of normally having a socket on the outside, you put somthing on the inside, il try and get a pic, that would be easier.

Does anyone in or around lowestoft have a key thing to undo the wheel nuts? as i didnt even give it a thought till i just went outside to strip my brake calipers down and grease them up, and realise that i cant even undo the normal 1's lol. and anyone got any easy ways of getting locking wheel nuts off? coz on my old car ir was easy, i just hammered a smaller socket over them. Any help would be great! Cheers rob

my mate has got a bmw evo and i tried my luck (n/a j-spec) against it on way home from yarmouth and i cudnt even touch him, i got him on roundabouts coz i like to throw it into corners etc but as soon as a straight came he was gone! i had never actually seen 1 in action properly but i never realised that they were that quick.

is it too late for this? as iv only just got bk from hol. and how much would it b for a stand pass etc?

this might sound a stupid question but how do you know when it needs doing? (well i guess that it wont be nice n cold but any other things?) coz when i use mine i notice a funny smell (dont know if thats anything to do with it or not tho) Cheers Rob (sorry to hi-jack your post Shaz!!)
