  1. OMG I think you'd faint if I told you what I was having done yesterday. Seriously though, it looks like a bit of fatty tissue. It might need a stitch or some glue.
  2. There's a world outside your window.
  3. Were you bored this morning Scott?
  4. Well this went sour didn't it?
  5. Have changed your thread title to make it more visible to the right people.
  6. I have it on good authority he's left to frequent more intellectual forums with decent debates, not the same clap trap in a repeat till fade action. I think CJ has joined him.
  7. I actually LOL'd. Ummm taramasalata - I wonder if he's got any spare.
  8. I think you'd be hard pushed to find a conveyancer that doesn't charge a fixed fee these days.
  9. Oh. Oops. Well, it's been fun.
  10. Are we talking about Nizam now? This thread moves quickly!
  11. You know more than me! Clearly I'm not in the basement loop.
  12. I thought that was LBM's job?
  13. Me too I think he's ok though.
  14. There's loads of pikeys on here isn't there? I'm still not sure who you mean!
  15. Awww so cute! Did you get any pics?
  16. I'm not. Besides, us oranges are lowly creatures - we can't change members details - only amend thread bits.
  17. Or we could just continue to try to make people behave like adults.
  18. Not even that really. The actual solicitors fees will be fixed at the start (when I was a conveyancer fees for a sale were about £350-£400, £400-£450 for a purchase). Then you are charged for standard searches - environmental, local and drainage (about £150 upfront). Stamp duty is 1% over £125k (if you're not a first time buyer) then 3% over £250k, 5% over £500k. The solicitor will add this to a quote as it's money you should expect to pay. Registry fees to have your name added onto the house deeds are about £200. The only add ons are if extra searches need to be made, documentation from the land registry needs to be obtained like transfers and other stuff relating to the house etc, but your sols should keep you informed of any extra costs. Leasehold properties definitely have an add on of about £100 or thereabouts for a sale or purchase because of the extra work involved for the sols. Sorry - I waffled on there.
  19. I suspect that included stamp duty, land registry fees for registering the property in your name, searches etc and wasn't just 'solicitors fees'?
  20. It's called 'Made in Chelsea' - not 'TOWIC' Did I stumble onto the old ladies forum? It's a reality tv show - they've picked the most controversial people to make more watch it and talk about it.
