  1. Nightmare. I have changed your thread title - please can you be a bit more creative so that people can use the search facility. Ta.
  2. Blimin heck! I can't remember if you said - are you on pistonheads with your ad? First place Michael found a buyer from....
  3. Do you mean reiterate? I don't actually like where this thread is going. I think we've all been told that JB doesn't like goading of females for pictures, even if they are keen on showing them.
  4. Wow, isn't it amazing how our bodies work. Keep on keeping on
  5. Me too!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!! !!!!! ! ! ! ! ! ! !! !
  6. Hmmm. I suspect a further enquiry to the planning office is going to be your best bet as it doesn't appear any old deeds have been 'filed' with the title deed. If there were no restrictions on the property from when/if any building work was carried out then there would be no need for any docs to be registered. It's a real shame actually. We used to get tons of old documents and deeds coming through our office but often they had no relevance and were given to the new owners to keep if they wanted to. Sorry, I haven't really been much help!
  7. Is anything stated on the property register section of the OCEs (section A)? This normally refers to any planning documents (and their date) that may be attached to the title. Although it sounds like you may have already done that searching....
  8. I'm not sure it's strictly true that there aren't many people in your position - there are certainly a lot of people not already on the housing market who have no chain due to the difficulty getting a mortgage in the last few years. Obviously a good deposit is what you need, this is the main stumbling block for a lot of people, people who simply don't have £25-30k hanging around. I think, as an excuse, hers is quite viable (I used to work for developers and often they were at the top of the chain and had to add more money at the bottom). I guess it all depends on whether you're happy to walk away. If you're happy with your offer and you'll find something else then I wouldn't even think about meeting her half way.
  9. Last week I dropped the Mr down the stairs. He doesn't work properly now.
  10. I don't understand - do you not think it's plausable that the house they're looking at has had a better offer?
  11. If the property has a registered title go to:- http://www.landregistry.gov.uk/ To find out about a particular property you will need house number/postcode and the 'official copy entries'. If there are any other associated documents with the title deeds they will be able to be ordered too but you will see what has happened to the property since original build. If the property isn't registered (few and far between now but sometimes people still hold their own deeds and documents) then it will be a bit more tricky.
  12. Work. Sleep. Work. Sleep. Buy nursery furniture. Sleep. Panic Buy stuff. Work. Repeat to fade.
  13. I recognise the first picture from Nevins and SammyKate's Jap World forum shoot thing?
  14. I wouldn't buy any fake tan products. Can't stand the stuff.
  15. Aww look at those teeny tiny racing drivers! Great pics.
  16. No - from Martin himself and the police investigation of the crime scene.
  17. Good luck with it all - what an amazing thing to do.
  18. He was waiting awake upstairs - can't remember the full details now as it was some years ago that I watched but from memory most of the downstairs of the house was unreachable due to traps and general low maintenance. He was already awake, with gun fully loaded and ready to shoot. I don't think they would have kicked him to death as they were running away when he shot at them. I'm not avocating what they did in any way, just was interesting to see another side to it.
  19. OT but have just seen your signature and donated to your justgiving page - great cause.
  20. Great point. I presume this will deter a little from all the cut backs on manpower they are making within the police force.
  21. He didn't - he served three quarters of his 5 year sentence and was released in 2003. I watched a programme about the police investigation actually. It made for interesting viewing. I always felt sorry for him but never knew the finer details of him booby trapping his house etc.
  22. A reasonable person like...Ken Clarke for example? Exactly, that's the bit that gets me - thousands of variables. This isn't some carte blanche to kill someone in your home, but it's already been read that way.
  23. I know it doesn't - I'm just saying it's open to a lot of interpretation, which is why 'self defence' is such a grey area. Even in the article he says this:- then:- But that's basically what the law states already:- Who decides what is necessary force?
  24. It's a very unclear area though. Self defense is different to a frenzied attack on someone with a knife.
