So the people with an ounce of talent will get talked about, battered in the press, followed, papped to within an inch of their life in every scenario (can you imagine being papped when you're falling out of a nightclub or hung over after a night out?) and eventually hated by the very people that fuelled the original furor.
Whatever your musical tastes - she won 5 grammys in one night, a feat which has not been achieved by anyone else in this country - I can't think that is a waste of a life.
I didn't know her as a person so can't comment on whether she was a pain in the arse or not. All I know is that I've encountered people that have had addictions in their lives and they have to want to help themselves and sometimes, the demon is too strong. Luckily for those people, they're afforded a private life.
The people that say 'junkie' 'waster' whatever, need to wake up and look around this country. The rot set in a long long time ago, long before the likes of her were 'influencing' the kids.
