  1. Cheers Tom, hows it going long time no see? The car was rumoured to have been sat for a while so more than likely the case, when I get some spare time ill strip them down and put the new disks on, thanks Chris thanks mate, I know a while back the 3g was all the rage, after Marham I managed to graft a full set of evo brakes on but stayed away from the drilled disks. Not sure what way im going to jump with the brakes yet but ill bear you in mind thanks
  2. 3G was the disks on my old supra, they cracked after I took the car to Raf Marham, but in all fairness they took some abuse
  3. Can't see a make on it, the other disks on my second supra are drilled and grooved one of them has a hairline crack between the holes, fairley sure my old supra had drilled disks an that was the same. Thought I'd post it in here as don't take long to have a look around and might save a life aswel as your pride and joy
  4. just bought the car and only just got the time to work on it and look round it properly, the rear disks always seemed to be to thin to be vented aswell, cracked another set but this was after a hard track day
  5. both rear disks have unusual wear on the inside face a band of about 20mm that's in use the rest is rust, need to strip the whole lot down. A possible cause why my cars all over the road when I floor it.
  6. Feeling lucky after having a proper look around my new Supra come across this had this with a few rear disks on the supras now, worth having a quick check over
  7. thanks for all your help will look into it further, and cheers Pig appreciate it
  8. after a few hard pulls in my supra as soon as I shut off the throttle the car nose dives right and I feel im having to correct it, similar when I accelerate it doesn't seem to pull straight like other supras ive owned?? jacked it up today cant see any worn bushes, or feel play in anything. Im wondering if the diff maybe the cause need to check the suspension aswel it has hks adjustable coilovers to make sure they are all at equal settings. any one else had this or point me in the right direction thanks
  9. Got the joyful job of swapping diffs and shafts on my supra, ive read that some can be a pain to get apart, will it be a better option to just remove the shafts complete with hubs split at the ball joints and swap them over that way or do the shafts generally pop out? thanks
  10. Are you able to cut it and segment it until the angles are right then tape the joins and have it welded?
  11. I want my options open to go higher as I will get bored and 700 being a base figure, hit 600 with my first car and got bored after 6 months craving more power
  12. The supras have always amused me with the power side, now 700hp considered tame
  13. Hello, couldn't stay away found my self in the supra world again. Ive got my hands on a wide arch supra thats in need of work, main project being a built engine with a single turbo set up. I need help with parts choice and tips on my build, don't want to overlook something that will later come back to haut me, and parts that were good (when I was last on here) are now superseded. Ill be running a 6 speed box my aims are 700+ bhp I want something that's wild yet drivable, not like that chuck Norris car I see on here piston choice? ive used wiseco on several builds, but most seem to favour JE or CP pistons. compressin ratio, from memory my last supra was running 8.5:1 head gasket, ive read some used an oem gasket over a hks ect ? rods? carrilo seem to be favourite but have seen a few with eagle rods. cams? what duration would cover me in the achievable hp with the option of going higher and again not be to aggressive. Head work? valve springs and retainers? bearings? acl seem favourite? ARP - rod , head and main bolts Main caps? these are listed in big builds are oem prone to fail? turbo kit? so many available at the moment not sure whats a dinosaur now and whats new injectors, size again with an allowance for more bhp. any help and advice will be greatly appreciated john

  15. Has any one got the number to hand for these, just googled it and spoke to some one they told me they only insure track cars not for socialan domestic
  16. I might go that route as well then and spray the fittings black as that will come in half the price and i have more faith in a swaged fitting thanks for your help
